I don't think anyone is seriously considering Slipknot, tbh... surely.
Regarding their type of act, I'd say Rage had more crossover appeal, especially at the time. From headliner types of that type I'd say Metallica and maybe AC/DC depending on how much longer they last would be the only potential T headliners.
-
Or before Robbie if he's playing. Then she could come back for 'Kids'
I'd unashamedly be up for that, maybe put Slipknot on at the same time second stage to split the crowd
-
I'd have dismissed it as Donington had they not really pressed the issue. I still don't think it's T but I'm sure it's a Scottish gig. Edinburgh?
Was thinking that myself, would more likely be Edinburgh, which would be fucking bizarre in its own right
Have I missed why everyone is discussing robbie?
He is playing Festivals in Europe very close to T time, eluding to him being open to playing festival shows rather than his usual stadium gigs (off which he hasnt announced any UK gigs yet)
Wouldnt be surprised if Noel played under Kasabian, reckon they are one of the few acts he wouldnt be bothered playing under, Still saying Prodigy for second stage, mind.
-
There's a bit with Mark Ronson on the daily record online today, saying he would love to/is titp bound, I'm not certain of where he would play though
On my last lineup poster I think I had him on Second stage just before Guetta one night, I think his placing could maybe come down to who else is playing, I'd imagine he would use a lot of guests if possible, would be intrigued to see his show though, not sick of his current one yet despite it being everywhere
I hate to say this but...Kings of Leon?
Have they been ruled out or discussed? They are playing a few US festivals in March and are rumoured for Firefly festival in June so they are about. Hopefully they will just stay in the States/South America.
Don't think they can ever be ruled out, they are probably due a visit as well
-
Robbie Williams would get a huge crowd, 30-50 year old women or not, I'm not a huge fan but he's still a big seller, think he's quite likely with his current dates too.
-
Could arrange the stages something like this
Would perhaps swap R1 and Slam (its not really that big a tent these days eh?) but not too far off I reckon
-
Could see The Libertines playing anywhere top two, sub or headliner on main any day.
Not trying to be biased against The Prodigy going by previous posts, but the new song is, erm, rubbish, IMO like. I'm still putting them as a second stage headliner.
Libertines added to the R.Williams / Noel G / Flo / Kasabian pile. Ruling out Muse.
-
Just me that thinks Prodigy will play but not as a main headliner? Will take up their standard second stage headliner spot imo, at the moment I'm going with any combo of Florence, Noel Gallagher, Robbie Williams, Kasabian
-
It's probably about time that they stepped up to stadiums to be fair, gets them of the festival loop as much, they probably know Murrayfield by supporting Oasis there too, if they arent at T, I'd probably put Noel Gallagher down to be one of the headliners.
On another note, The Jesus and Mary Chain announced for that portugese fest around the same week as T so a small possibility that one could happen.

Still think they'll headline but worth posting anyway.
Was also gonna post this, tempted to say they won't be there now
Ed Sheerans at Wembley all that weekend, so no chance thankfully, don't really see many that were here this year being back tbh.
Agreed with The Strokes being there but not headlining, times past on them doing that spot

Lets see how far this gets about, December mockup
Seeing as I can't sleep, Changed it up and beefed it out a bit, probably some unlikely calls in there (Chems postheadliners etc) but hey...
-
Quite tempted to throw The Chemical Brothers on my initial poster draft now, seems increasingly feasible they could be back
-
Go and do us one when you've got a minute to wind up the laddie
Prodigy kasabian muse headliners
NGHFB chemical brothers happy Monday's fatboyslim slim, madness the specials Chas and status ocean colour scene sex pistols pink and dj fresh.
Next.
Only when you've a minute,he will cream his pants...
Filled out a bit more with some of your previous daft suggestions

Cool. Giving them a listen at the moment, quite liking what I'm hearing. Anyone got any particular recommendations?
I'm not an expert on them but I think Pyschocandy is meant to be their big album. Changed lineup slightly, had The Horrors on before them and swapped them for Billy Idol, big 80s fest headliners in the tuts that night
-
What sort of size are The Jesus and Mary Chain? Bit before my time so I'm not sure how big they are. Tuts headliner?
Thats what I've got them down as but may change that, don't do many shows either
-
How do you do that mate?
Can you do it on a iPhone??
Just a template I made up on photoshop based on the coachella lineup poster, caught a few folk out on social media with it last year with the amount that was knocked up on here, probably update it in that post from time to time

Trying to make up a new lineup poster, you know the T's over the past few years have numbed you when even you make up a lineup poster you tell yourself that it doesnt look bad enough
-
It's clearly going to happen, Saturday night headliner, the bloody script subbing, bookmarkedAnother festival for Robbie Williams.
Wouldn't mind any of today's IOWs names, would all be decent midcard names
-
Someone on eFestivals (I think it was rawaudioinput) said it was one of the worst festivals he has been too as there is so little to do
everytime I've seen footage its felt more or less like a Hyde Park gig on an island
-
Usually get the laddie titp camping tickets for his Xmas, can guarantee he will want to go to iow instead because of the prodigy getting announced.
Would say it makes them a reasonable chance for T, one of those acts that gets everywhere once they are announced for a few places
IMO I agree announcing the line-up in february is a bad move from a festivalgoers perspective most people are making other plans, I might take a punt on EXIT this year instead.
It's what they have always done really though, apart from maybe a headliner and one or two other acts pre-christmas sale the last few years, I'm sure most on heres minds wouldnt be changed whether they announce Kasabian now or February

I thought all the 48:13 stuff was great. bumblebeee is a rad opener, stevie is awesome with the strings, even the slightly slower stuff like clouds slots in really well.
Definitely agree with this, was indifferent to the album, Treat, Stevie but live they sound much fuller, plus, I'm a fan of strings being added to most things. Bumblebeee is the opener they've needed for two/three tours now.
-
lol. The Prodigy, Black Keys and Pharrell.
Not too bad, I guess :/ wouldn't complain with T getting the first two.
T will go ahead and do business as usual, almost seems like folk want it too fail. Times and plans change, for all festivals. I don't even intend on going this year and I'm confident in this.

The excuse of working on the new site seems a bit odd, surely act booking is a different department to site management?
Might depend on how many stages they can fit in?
Less space would mean less stages/acts, but potentially a bigger budget for acts. Really isnt something I'd worry about at the current moment in time.

Same, I like them but their time near the top of the lineups has been and gone, cant see the new album taking them anywhere new really. Second stage headliner, 3rd from top main at best
haha, its my template but someone else on heres version, I'll get a new one up soon
