But would LCD Soundsystem really headline cochlea and co-healine T...?

They would be a radio 1/king tuts headliner at T

Not sure what to think of Roses, Chillis and Harris. Very much possible and big enough, just not at all inspiring, hopefully a decent undercard

God help us if they do. Saw them at t in 2014 in the scorching heat and I personally thought they were god dam awful and the same with their most recent album.

    My updated guess is:

    TSR

Calvin (Honestly can't decide on a sub headliner for the Saturday)

    Coldplay

I think it's quite good that we have an amount of uncertainty, last year you could have banked on Kasabian playing and the only debate was really whether NG was big enough to headline. I'm looking forward to the announcement even though I'm not going.

Coldplay won't be there. Same with Radiohead unfortunately. Primavera looks good mind!

Was speaking to someone saturday who likes to think he's itk about gigs/clubs etc.

He said Harris,Taylor swift and deadmau5 are a done deal.

    Thoughts???

Wouldn't be suprised really, could see CH having a word with Swift about playing, wouldn't be against her at all tbh. Can see Deadmau5 being R1 headliner again one night.

Don't see Coldplay headlining, mainly due to the Hampden gig. Not sure who else though, not enough names out yet to give a firm guess, got an odd feeling they might get Kings of Leon though

  4. Seems strange they send out a second survey.  First one obviously didn't give results they were looking for

"Oh bugger, Calvin and Mumford havent got enough votes!"

When you compare the 'headliner' list to the other selection, theres 1) some clear names they want picked and are really the most feasible for them 2) some names that would be headliners elsewhere and are not likely at all, but would be nice.

First Category (the headliners that they want or are more likely to be booked)

Biffy Clyro, Calvin Harris, Disclosure, Flo+The Machine, Snow Patrol, The Killers, Kings of Leon, Mumford and Sons, Ed Sheeran, Taylor Swift (especially if her and Calvin are still a thing then)

thats your basic headline rotation there, with Kasabian not there due to being last year, then maybe Eminem, Rihanna, Robbie Williams if you want to stretch it, any other name on that is special one off

Second Category (acts that could have been on the headliner list)

Aerosmith, Arcade Fire, Depeche Mode, Dr Dre, Drake, Elton John, Kanye West, katy Perry, Kiss, Lady Gaga, Radiohead, Rod Stewart amongst others,

Theres very little logic tbh, they'll have the name they want and probably already booked.

For what its worth, I've picked

    Radiohead, Taylor Swift, Bruce Springsteen

Aerosmith, Jack White, Elton John, Florence + The Machine, Faithless, Lana Del Ray, Ryan Adams, Chemical Brothers

    no expectations like

  5. Wouldnt be surprised if RHCP were announced, think their stock has fallen to the point were they are probably just ok headliners than playing thier own stadium shows now, could say the same for Kings Of Leon who havent been in a while either. Flo and Biffy around at that point too.

  6. downsize the size of the festival, going by the coverage, its clearly too small for two big out door stages and 3/4 tents, have two festivals on the site (I think the site will do well once the travel issues are resolved) either side of summer, one around the time of latitude and some acts around europe that will be more band/rock orientated, then 'T' early august sharing much of V fest line up

  7. Did seem awfully flat watching them last night, think the band felt that too, could see they were trying to get people going. Does seem a even younger crowd than usual too.

Is it just me or does it seem like main stage has less field space than the r1 stage?

  8. MAIN

    FLORENCE

DISCLOSURE - SNOW PATROL (its enevitable they'll be given this slot at some point :( )

    BLUR

    R1

    DEADMAU5

    FOALS

    THE CHEMICAL BROTHERS

    KT

    PRIMAL SCREAM

    KNIFE PARTY

    CHVRCHES

Rough guess at stage toppers, throw the following possibles for other places or alternatives -

Macklemore and Ryan Lewis, The Strokes, Royal Blood, Bastille, Vintage Trouble, Django Django, Jamie XX, Belle and Sebastian, Future Islands, Courtney Barnett, Super Furry Animals, Sleaford Mods, Rita Ora, Wolf Alice, John Newman, Major Lazer, 2 Many DJs, The Weeknd

  9. Between him and Vintage Trouble for favourite sets I saw on iPlayer, always had time for him and enjoyed him live at T a few times, but the new band has beefed his sound right up, and on the rare instance, I think the hiatus has given him a bit of confidence, had the crowd in his hands

  10. I was gutted to be at home, then happy cos at least it'll be on telly.

Except it won't be on telly will it?  Won't their existing contracts rule it out?

    I'm in a right huff now. :(

Probably wont have a press release, announcement or filmed due to other fest commitments
