As long as they play Knee Socks of the new stuff I'm content, cant take or leave much of the older stuff (unless they want to play lots of Humbug, which I'd love in all its unlikeliness)
-
The atmosphere for Franz Ferdinand in Tuts will be electric, even if I liked Jake Bugg, I'd skip him for Franz.
-
Definately seeing Franz Ferdinand over Jake Bugg
-
Watched 5 minutes of the DJ radio 1 Glasgow night on the red button, if Calvin Harris is anything like this I'll be giving it a firm miss.
-
Hopefully, bloody things are annoying, would rather see the stage
-
Have to agree with the Kasabian comments, they were brilliant. Easily the best I've seen them.
-
Being semi realistic

R1: Deadmau5
King Tuts: Lana Del Rey (if she doesnt show up this year)
Saturday
Main: THE PRODIGY/LIBERTINES (good call gaffer)
R1: Emeli Sande
King Tuts: Massive Attack
Friday
Main: MUSE, Jack White
R1: Chemical Brothers
King Tuts: Primal Scream
other acts:
Alicia Keys for big-ish pop act
Slash
The Gaslight Anthem

Seen kasabian in Dunfermline tonight
Blew the speakers after the 2nd tune
They are easily one of tge best live bands out...
-
meant the names under the 'entertainment across the weekend' on the right, no mention of it unless its changed its name, again. Probably nailed on for Rita Ora on main stage Saturday, Calvins orders
Would like Lana Del Rey near top in king tuts for the other spot for a semi-realistic shout. Saturday looks to have more acts across all the top three stages so it may be the case they are all open later
-
Said enough times but had Pixies and Ben Howard been in reverse places I'd be sorted over the weekend, pretty content otherwise, clash permitting -
Friday: Drenge, Royal Blood, Haim, Maximo Park, Chvrches, Manics, Biffy or Pixies
Saturday: Twenty one pilots, The Stranglers, Fatherson, We Are Scientists, James, Rudimental, Pharrell, Paolo Nutini or Embrace, Calvin Harris or Ben Howard
Sunday: Red hot chilli pipers, Twighlight sad, Wilkinson, Kaiser Chiefs, London Grammar, Above and Beyond, Franz Ferdinand, Arctic Monkeys
Looks to be some added entertainment on the thursday too, but dont see any mention of the transmission stage?

again, R1BW shouldnt be used as any sort of comparison, its a glorified promotion event
We'll probably get an announcement right after ithis weekend though, T will use the 'highlights' from it as a tool to promote this.
-
Would love if kasabian got announced as the headliner for radio 1 on the Saturday
-
Nothing will be as ridiculous as the suggestion of Bruce Springsteen headlining the Radio 1/NME stage
-
Benicassim. Decent line up
-
Quite looking forward to it, though it looks like I'm going on my tod. Enough for me to see throughout each day probably, still reckon we will get one or two midrange acts after R1BW next weekend.
-
Nothing of value lost there.
Arcade Fire just announced a Hyde Park show for Thursday 3rd JULY, barstewards could have been picked up.
-
Helping start a mini rave outside the Duracell stage after it had closed on the Sunday night/monday morning years back. Some guy had walked pasted us blowing this little whistle that would light up, we all started jumping around him egging him on, this soon blew into a fair sized group, the guy lasted about an hour.
-
Seeing how their lineup material is still a bit rubbish, an updated poster
-
fatherson are good.
-
8/5 Update
Kiesza, Billy Lockett, MNEK, Fatherson, Dan Croll, James Bay, Catfish and the Bottlemen, John Wizards, Raleigh Ritchie, Jaguar Skills and All About She added.
-
I mean this in the most lighthearted way, but does it not get a bit boring being annoyed by these things?
Kasabian will be back next year anyway
-
Very true.
Compare this;

On a world wide scale Ed Sheeran and Pharrell are much bigger than Paul Weller, and I say that not being a fan of any of them. I'll go against the grain here too and say Weller is very overrated (though he should be playing above Bugg)
