Internal setup and now washing the other side it seems. 3rd of the pyramid green room tents finally going up now the platform has been built for the speaker supports/screens Park stage mixing desk frame up Lots of other areas starting to get busier. Work seems to be starting on the staff areas in Pylon and Greenpeace field, and it looks like there may be the first tent pitched in the healing fields

2010 was a slog. The worst was your tent turning into a sauna at 8am on the dot. It was the lack of sleep that caused me the most problems, though the rest of it was fine. Invested in a hat, lathered in sunscreen and seemed to live on Calipos for most of the weekend. I'd take it again any day of the week over 2007 or 2016 though.

You're right, starting from a new spot From last year, it's the kink in the fence from west car parks towards gate A. Though based on this years map, could extend much further into the car park this year 2023 on the left, 2022 on the right

Looks like they may be getting ready to build the Ribbon Tower

Slightly updated version of the Map out (v1.1). As far as I can tell, the only things to change are the addition of the Blue Route car entry road and West 32 car park shrinking as the right hand side of it has now been marked 'out of bounds'

That's probably getting ready for the Co-op build as that started that about this time last year

I know they like to change the Other stage every now and then, though now it's up, it is looking a little larger than last year Here a snip from 2022

The pink line always used to indicate trackway on the path. Where it was just a white line the path was there but it was just grass underfoot

I think it's the wind that's holding them back as its been pretty breezy in the SW as well as some thunderstorms. Not sure what these are for, but as the ties are pretty horizontal it gives me the impression I wouldn't want to be working at height down there at the moment. I've looked back previous years and by this stage the Ribbon Tower was also up, so I'm assuming it's just the fact the weather hasn't been settled for a few days straight to get these things done. Looking back at roughly this time in the recent years: 2015 - Pyramid dressed and screen posts up to the side, ribbon tower and BBC Park structures in place. Other stage only just starting to lay trackway. Long drops up and fencing being laid out on ground 2016 - Pyramid undressed, though covers laid out ready to dress. Ribbon tower and BBC Park structures in place, no work stated on other stage and only the long drops at back of other stage up, fencing being laid out on ground. 2017 - Pyramid dressed, starting to build staging around it ready for towers to go up. Ribbon tower, BBC Park structure and Park stage going up. Starting to lay trackway for Other stage. Longdrops built, no sign of the fence. 2019 - Pyramid dressed, starting to build staging around it for towers to go up. Ribbon tower, BBC Part structure and Park stage base up. Crane action at Other stage as it's about to be lifted. Longdrops built, loads of arcadia trackway as it was the start of the crane. No sign of the fence. 2022 - Pyramid dressed, screen supports in place around it and dressing room areas erected. Ribbon tower and BBC Park structure up. Other stage on ground ready to be lifted. Longdrops built, arcadia action prepping to drop the crane base, fence in a similar place to this year.
