    HAPPY NEW YEAR,

We hope you, your family and friends are safe and well during this difficult period.

Since we last spoke, the festival has appointed a resident psychic namely the legendary Clinton Baptiste, to assist with the future planning of the festival. Clinton’s first public address can be seen here whereby he reviews the possibilities of this year’s festival operating and expected headline acts.

We totally appreciate that moving the event into term time, without a bank holiday for some may pose difficulties. We understand that and have brought forward our headliners closing time on the Sunday night to ensure everyone gets to see our headliners but allowing travelling time also. The situation we know is not ideal and this is the best of a bad job, but it will be the festival you love with bells and whistles on. The OFSTED approved school will be in full operation on the Friday to assist with getting authorised leave and in addition the gates on Thursday will be open until 11pm to allow for later arrivals.

Clinton Baptiste has done a fantastic job and his predictions appear true, we are pleased to confirm the legendary PLACEBO as one of the headliners for September 2021, the now summer gathering. We have a shed load of other acts to confirm including the vast majority of the scheduled 2020 line up which went down so well. In other exciting news we are pleased to announce Magical Sounds are back from their years sabbatical to produce one of the finest dance tents in the country – it’s like they never left! Clinton will be bringing psychic road show to the Woodland Stage on the Thursday night and will also be providing a monthly festival update leading up to September.

We won’t be releasing the full line up until April until we know a bit more about how the vaccinations are going, the governments advice at that time in relation to mass gatherings. Hopefully all goes well and we can let you know what other fantastic bands and DJs we have booked in. We have secured the vast amount of the 2020 schedule including headliners but we feel it is too soon to announce everything.

Great book and glad there is the confidence to schedule the Sept date, I'm very conflicted on whether even Sept will allow a proper festival so sadly I'm going to get a refund and I feel more confident in the summer I'll rebook as spend 9 months no going anywhere and so much in the air at the moment to make a solid decision 😞

    I really do miss music

I would definitely contact ACAS or Citizens Advice to check if it's allowed under your contract

Thing is I need to keep the job as can't lose it in this climate.. So not even rock that boat tbh

    It's still shit though 😞

    Is that even allowed?

Well i work for a large retailer so i would assume they would have checked the legal side... they did this in lockdown 1 but with the exec level folk

I'm not even management and whilst I'm sure some folk might think my salary is decent it's really not that high tbh

    It just sucks tbh 😞

  4. So been a bit shit today on the job front as after 6 months full furlough and 2 months part time furlough last year... I was put on secondment doing customer services of all things in December and finally got a full month's wage for the 1st time since March

Obviously with new lockdown in Jan I was happy to find out last week I was being kept on full time in customer services. But today get the boss contacting me saying cos my salary is over X amount they expect me to still work but on 80% pay until end of March from 1st Jan.  This will include 80% on hols too

Will get money back eventually but saying expect this by end June 2022!!

Whilst I know I'm lucky to be in a job 80% really is a struggle and it's made me proper miserable tbh 😞

Documents seen by the Guardian also reveal that the NHS is asking care homes to start accepting Covid patients directly from hospitals and without a recent negative test, as long as they have been in isolation for 14 days and have shown no new symptoms.

Seriously is it like new year same mistakes with this Government???

I mean 1st the rubbish kids food boxes, now this again?? WTFare they thinking 😞

It does mine too ... pickers are expected to pick 190 items per hour ... and the use of gloves will only transfer  things about ... best thing is regular sanitising and hand washing ... people won’t change them often enough to make any difference whatsoever

And this is why I clean everything from my click and collect orders

Is there going to be a problem with regards to transportation to and from vaccine centres, especially for those that don’t drive? Or is there some sort of provision in place? Not sure it’s a good idea to have older and vulnerable people have to take public transport or have to walk very long distances in winter, or have to share cars with other households, but then again I’m not sure what the alternative is?

I was saying this to the fella that there's some bloody long travel if you only have the main hubs to get to!!

I'm lucky as only 5 miles from main Manchester hub but unfortunately I'm way down the list in priorities 😞

Right well I'm definitely going to my appointment next week to take part in their trial of two shots.

Think they're still recruiting if people are interested.

Is that near Manchester and how can you sign up?
