  1. Just had to look DMT up and it says;

its subjective effects can range from short-lived milder psychedelic states to powerful immersive experiences, which include a total loss of connection to conventional reality, which may be so extreme that it becomes ineffable.

Now that sounds fab. Please can I be a lab rat. I'm not a yoof but in the interests of science and all that!

  2. ha ha you make me laugh. The pills we took in the early 90s would have made your eyes bleed.

You kids today dont even know how to enjoy yourselves anymore. Laughing gas?? ha ha ha.

Now get back to rolling over and letting the government f**k you in the arse. Add protesting to the youth's ineptitude. Along with making shite music.

Too busy worrying about how you look and what other people think of you to actually let go and live your lives. This is now painfully evident at glastonbury where you all strut around dressed by the marketing men at top man and urban outfitters, sniffing on your laughing gas and smoking marlboro lights.

I am deeply embarrassed and ashamed by the youth of this country.

  3. You dont have to confirm the details of everyone who's staying in the tipi in advance at all- not this year anyway. The lead booker of the festival tickets that are bought when the tipi is booked is the only person who needs to confirm their tipi dwelling status. The rest can be any other 5 people you like- they just need lead booker's name and reference number.

  4. Trouble is pills are very hard to compare, even if a test for the presence of MDxx has been done this is only half the story as pills will contain other substances for example:

    Amphetamine

    Speed

    Ketamine

    PMA (paramethoxyamphetamine)

    Caffeine

    Ephedrine

    Benzylpiperazine

    DXM (dextromethorphan)

2cb (unlikely as it would be very good, although there are reported cases)

Some of these can enhance the experience, but which ones are you getting, how much of them, what is the purity and of course some are horrible and can have unpleasant effects, impossible to know exactly what you are getting without gas chromatography mass spectrometry.

I always say MDMA powder and a set of decent scales, but friends of mine disagree going on about some pill they had back when that was great, of course the chances of getting a pill containing the same substances in the same ratio with the same purity is next to zero. Although part of me agrees with them and back in the day I would make up my own "pills" so I knew exactly what was in them.

All that said cider still works :)

  5. "Well of course I feel like that, dont 99% of people over 30 feel the same, especially those stuck in tedious office jobs?"

Oh, yes - I certainly do. And surrounded by others of my age, I think I have increasingly less in common with any of them. It seems none of them can understand why I still go to Glasto at 38, and seem to behave as if there is something odd or childish about me for doing so. I'll never forget what it was like to be 22 and at Glasto for the first time in 1994. Equally however, I have to come to terms with the fact it will never be or feel like that ever again.

  6. Cheers for that mate.

Sounds good,i know they may be a bit exspensive but with not going next year i will have a bit of spare cash and hope to make it into one for 2013.

Anybody else with an opinion on them :)

    Nice one.

  7. I am to Standon Calling this weekend never been before 20 minutes from my house, no arena, 24 bars, night club in a cow shed, swimming pool what is there not to like?

Anybody been before or going this weekend?

  8. I went to Camp Bestival the other weekend that was awesome probably the most actual music I have ever managed to get into a music festival, kids loved it Mr Tumble The Gruffalo et al all good.

I will also be going to Shambala at the end of the month with the family again, and very very tempted to nip across to The Isle of White for Bestival, if only to see DJ Shadow again.

You can currently buy early bird Rockness tickets for £99, very very tempting.

  9. I am in a very similar position to yourself except for the number of kids. I have one of the above garden trolleys which I use every year carting stuff from the car to the camp site at Glastonbury which it is great for, and I had planned to use it this year at Camp Bestival for the same and as and kids transport, (I don't take my kids to Glastonbury, maybe in 2013). However I had second thoughts thinking it would not be comfortable enough even with blankets et al, that said I need to fit a 4 year old and a 5 year old in so you maybe alright with just one ankle bitter.

In the end I bought one of these:

    AdventureAT3.jpg

I have seen many parents with them at Glastonbury I am certain it will be much more comfortable for the kids, however it was not cheap. I could not find it cheaper than £215 once you add the kit for the front wheel from here:

    Adventure AT3 - Alloy 2-seater Bicycle Trailer

I just hope the girls will sleep in it so we can stay out a little later, of course the boys have to sleep in their pram as well. I am an optimist I think, back at the tent every night at 8pm for me!

    Additionally I first bought this:

    KMS Distributions LTD

Which was very cheap, however it is heavy and they never sent me an axle and it permanently turned left so I sent it back and got the Adventure AT3.

Hope this helps, see you at Camp Bestival :)

  10. Thanks for the techy details, is useful to know. Is it just one image - ie. the one that you can zoom in on on their site? or is it multiple images - you mention the queue to the late night area, is there a night version? (I'm guessing not).

From the sounds of the filesize the zoom level is considerably more than what's on their site - they quote 10cm and some of the other pics linked to are 6cm. Any idea what the downloaded one is? I was going to cheekily nick the section of photo with our tent on it (good old Firebug) but I'm rather tempted by the £20 option now...

  11. Wow, thought £20 was a bit steep but looks like you get a lot for your money! let us know what you get (single photo or a set) and what you think, might be tempted to buy myself.

  12. I have just ordered that photo I am currently downloading it, so far I am up to 160mb with no sign of a let up!!!

    edit 343mb now, still going!

  13. They will definitely split the late night areas up to different corners of the site, and thus the queuing and congestion in the south east corner of the site will be gone a one go.

This has only not been done already as it breaks the licence to do so, therefore this depends or a successful amendment when the licence is reapplied for to allow this to happen. However I am confident that ME can get this though.

  14. Yep, watched the first two songs Beyonce did just in case something special duetwise/coverwise was going to happen, but really found we were watching what I could only describe as VFest, Somerset.

Toddled off to Kool and the Gang and danced our asses off, brilliant. As for the Sexist thing, it was all a bit Rod Stewart, but then again they did write Ladies Night, so I think this could be forgiven.

  15. Works fine for me:)

I notice there are loads of tents at the top of Pennards already, I remember reading on another thread they were going to stop crew doing that, it seems that they did not bother. I don't really care but I know this really winds a lot of people up.
