  1. Vs. Luton City of muggings and chicken shops 😂
  2. I remember last time I went to a big weekend was the 2018 Swansea one. Bought tickets for Taylor headlining only for Florence and the machine to be announced as the actual headliner. Not entirely sure what happened but what are the chances of that happening again this year, for better or worse. IE Raye gets overshadowed by another act or Coldplay do a shorter set for someone else headlining
  3. I think Taylor is not happening purely because it would crash Ticketmasters servers I’d have thought it would be something fairly mid sized at this point. Gerry cinnamon, catfish, 1975, nothing but thieves, pendulum or Biffy. we can hope for the killers, Coldplay or foo fighters but seems unlikely
  4. You’re right about a significant mark up for their own shows. There’s been at least a dozen times this year where I’ve gone to buy a ticket for a band and have been priced out. Some shows are extortionately expensive, but I’m finding a lot of these shows don’t even sell out. It’s like they would rather rip off half the crowd but not sell out. Very odd. What used to be £30-40 for an arena show 3 or 4 years ago, maybe £80 for a big act is well over £100, which should in theory swing the pendulum back in the festivals favour in terms of value for money but the quality of these lineups is dire. when the stones last played stadiums they were charging £110 for old Trafford, and I thought that was pricey but worth it as the stones are notoriously expensive. Now that’s the norm, some acts crossing £180 for a non-gold circle ticket. It’s mad
  5. I was thinking exactly the same thing. Glastonbury, download, and BST all have pants lineups of what would normally be at least a contemplation of a ticket, and Big weekend normally gets one cross over of a headliner of one of these festivals. Glastonbury probs the exception as they normally pad the lineup out on a lot more stages and the festival as a whole is fantastic. But considering the acts that are playing the UK this year, the killers, foos, pearl jam, AC/DC, Girls aloud, Springsteen, Olivia Rodrigo, Tay Sway, and even Nickelback. There’s probs a load more playing Europe but not the UK. Find it outstanding that no UK festivals have been able to get ANY of them
  6. Anything concrete for the other days yet? I’d have thought usual suspects of Olivia Rodrigo, Foos, Coldplay and Dua would be on the shortlist chase and status was a surprise, Radio 1 BW has a history of doing a dance day on Friday though
  7. Someone said on the AcDC fan forum that Mad cool CEO has apprently splashed a casual €20mill for a big act. I'm not sure that's realistic considering ticket price and the calibre of acts already on the bill but there's not many acts who could charge that
  8. It's a shame that this echoes almost like for like my experience in 2018. Horrendous queues, sound bleed problems, and generally poor organisation completely railroaded my holiday it's a shame because the lineup is always decent but organisation history seems to be poor
  9. From what I remember it was a special link + a code. In all honesty the 10c membership has kinda lost its value unless you plan on travelling to America for shows where they play more often. They used to send out vinyl records and t shirts with the membership, but they've stopped that now, and the shipping costs from the website to UK are crap, so anything '10c exclusive' nearly doubles in price to shop to the UK. But the ten club circle was the same price as general admission. Absolute bargain because they did a discount for 2 days and a discount for the rescheduling from 2020. Id much prefer 2 days at BST than 2 nights at the O2, although I'm not over the moon about the Glastonbury clash(hoping for a resale ticket)
  10. Probably cause they tour constantly, they play the UK every year. Not a fan myself but one of my close friends loves them and asks to go the gigs with them cause I go to loads of gigs. He messages me 2 or 3 times a year with them announcing shows it feels like They played slam dunk this year and played small venues 3 times earlier this year too, surely demand for a big show would be small
  11. Let's try name them 😂 1. Rammstein, 2. SOAD, 3. Maiden, 4. aerosmith, 5. Green day, 6. Paramore, 7. blink, 8. Foos, 9. ACDC, 10. GNR, 11, Alter Bridge / Creed, 12. Tool, 13. Pearl Jam, 14. Limp Bizkit, 15. The Prodigy, 16. Korn, 17. Springsteen, 18. Ozzy no more tours PT.100. 19, QOTSA, 20. A7X, 21. FOB
  12. I think the £322 figure if the Barclays 10% off price. Not sure if the 10% off is a non-sale or if ticketfactory just listing a lower price, or if they slap fees on the face value whereas the Barclays card presale is £322 with no fees.
  13. Id have thought Pantera headline 2nd to pull away all the FOB haters
  14. I suppose it can have it's benefits and depends on the band. Seeing Metallica do the black album or playing Glastonbury will go down in my greatest of all time shows I've been to, seeing them at the O2 not so much. Festivals give you the opportunity to see something special. Annoyingly though, download seems to opt for the most dialed in performance. I like QOTSA, but seeing them at a festival is boring, they won't play anything special, they don't have a mega open air stage show. There's not alot of value over seeing them over their own show beyond it being a full day of music. god help us. Maiden at download has to be the most dialed in uninspired show of them all. I just don't get Shikari. They tour constantly, always get a decent spot on festival lineups. Hopefully they shot their shot at Pilot and will fade into obscurity soon with too many consecutive crap album
  15. This. A big enough band with a strong enough undercard can sell out any festival Pearl jam, chillis, Springsteen, ACDC, Foos, RATM, Rammstein, Metallica, GNR and green day could do it with their eyes closed Even bands that don't play the UK often but aren't as big like Tool, Paramore, Blink, System could get a big chunk of sales, but download opts for bands that come to the UK every year and play their own arena shows in anyway, kiss, Def lep, maiden, biffy, Bring me, and Shikari. It's bizarre.
