Yes you’re right, this was the first poster launch (pre boiler room or any of the really small stages like Aperol) and there’s around 55 per day. I guess it could be one stage less but who knows. Anyways my issue is usually too many clashes, and I’m happy with this year’s lineup, but would still be cool to get a couple of smaller surprises!

Yeah exactly this. I’d get it if they were selling super early bird at a ridiculously cut price, but 275 is still a lot. Also I’d wait at least a few weeks for everyone to feel better from dust/exhaustion and start to feel some nostalgia about the festival. I’ll definitely come to another Sziget in the future, maybe not next year but I’m going to return for sure. Not sure I could hack camping again though. I felt like I could tell by looking at people who seemed fresh in from the city everyday and I was quite jealous by the end 😅

I completely agree! I just did my first Primavera which is almost at the other end of the scale where it’s all about the music lineup and Sziget is so different in comparison! There are so many other things to do and see and cool places to just chill that it doesn’t really matter if it’s your favourite line up ever. I also found that you’re surrounded by so many happy people having a good time, that even an act you didn’t know beforehand or weren’t expecting to enjoy you can end up having the best time at. It’s a special island!

Can annoying confirm if “Primavera Pro” ticket holders were able to use the bridge to Bits this year (I know Pro had access to Soho House) or was it strictly only VIP could use the bridge? Almost tempted to go for Pro Basic if it means shortening the walk

No I don’t think it’s 100%, but I don’t think we will know for another few weeks at least. Maybe mid-July (when I think someone said they will announce the schedules) we’ll have a better idea as I think his next performance date is 31st July. I agree with those who think Stromae will be bumped up, with another sub booked. As I think it’s too short notice to try and find a suitable like for like replacement for JB anyways

Maybe since the price increases are happening later today we’ll get something about stages/times in the next week or two. And seeing as they recently took down the wrong timings which were on the website, could be a good sign!

Tyler the Creator or Lil Nas X would be great replacements for me (selfishly!). But actually as a full festival ticket holder I’d much rather see the budget split and have a smaller replacement but also a couple of other undercard names for days like Thursday and Sunday. Not sure the day ticket holders for JB day would feel the same though, and probably fair enough

We’re pretty sure the timings on the website are incorrect, right? I can’t recall anything starting at 11am/12pm before. Always good to be resting out of the heat at that time of day

I also just got back from Primavera and now more ready than ever for Sziget (well, give me a week or so for my body to recover). Tame Impala are going to be crazy. Can’t wait to be back on the beautiful island. Also good shout on the tribute stage. I had a lot of fun late into the night there in 2018

Back at work today so naturally having a nostalgic reflection on the weekend. Some thoughts from a first-timer: - Day 1 was utter chaos from an organisation point of view. Things I’ve taken for granted at other festivals (safety, water, overcrowding), I suddenly became hyper aware of. Nevertheless Tame Impala show was insane, Fred Again was magic and Big Freedia was a surprise I didn’t expect to enjoy as much as i did. Glad to be surrounded by some great people. - Day 2 there was definitive improvement and felt like i could relax into it. Beach Bunny was a perfect start to the day with King Gizz being my highlight. The National had me in tears (in a good way). - Day 3. Tyler, the Creator. That is all. (Also thanks to this forum that I made a point of going to Nick Cave, what a show.) I wish I had food recommendations for the W2-ers but I literally lived off the delicious delicious hotdogs 😅 Overall I had a beautiful time and Im jealous that there’s another weekend to come that I don’t get to be a part of (my body couldn’t take it). Of course it doesn’t make me forget the experience of day 1 (and also know of some people who had really rough experiences with on-site security) but I can only speak from my own point of view. Im already thinking about next year…

This is my first time at the festival and I can’t believe the level of disorganisation. Can’t get a drink at the bar - annoying but ultimately fine. But then was in a position of pure anxious stress trying to leave from SVE. Panic attack levels. So so dangerous. I hope they learn some lessons from today. It’s really put a downer on my experience
