This U2 discussion has weirdly coincided with a mate randomly texting me out of the blue yesterday "U2 are playing Glastonbury" No idea where he's gotten that info from, he's not usually the type to even be interested in rumours, but he's adamant to the point where he wants to put money on I've told him surely they're headliners or nothing, and as far as we're aware, the headliners are locked in at AM GnR Elton

Yeah for all the rage about the headliners, there seems to be a good percentage spread across the three in here. My two pence - AM - 0% GnR - 40% - Really depends on who is up against them, am intruiged by the potential spectacle / calamity Elton - 100%

Also for what it's worth, have just put "Artics GnR Elton looks locked in" into our Glasto group chat No one else in there is on the forums Overall reaction is very positive

Who was the person who saw GnR in Australia recently in here and essentially live blogged it? Seemed to make out they were amazing live

Surely someone who's been to as many Glasto's as you have, will know that how good the festival is really isn't defined by the top three acts on the bill?

This is so long! But guess someone has got to win them... I have every faith in it being someone in here having that level of grit and determination

So we do realise when Emily spoke about gender split on the bill, she never specified headliners, right? So if the undercard is stacked with ladies, think it's easier to give a good argument as to why the top of the bill isn't split this year She also gave an interview not long ago saying some years would be three male headliners, some would be three female (perhaps hinting/forewarning of a male dominated top line this year) So if 2024 is 2 or 3 female acts on that top line (Taylor, Dua +1 ? ), between the two years, it's balanced Obviously the gender split is very important, but think there's an element here both ignoring the other things that have been said, and also of using it as the basis of an argument to back up the fact people just don't the idea of AM GNR completing our trio
