    Coventry City and Middlesbrough.

only saw two fellow Blackburn Rovers fans.

I saw five Rovers tops! I was counting cause my camp mate was a rovers fan and wore one every day (he didn't count so 6) and I played spot West Brom (4) vs Rovers.

Here's a question, what team did you see the most shirts from? (outside of the "big 6" in England.

    I'll go with Middlesbrough

Coventry. I've been to the Ricoh and I swear their entire home support was in attendance 😉

I brought spirits and was a bit horrified at £3 for a less than half pint of mixer from the bars. Bought three 8 packs of sprite/coke cans from Co-op, with discounts it ended up about £15 for 24 cans, each one of them providing enough for mixer in a double/tripleish measure drink for both of us. Saved our ass! The meal deal was great value as well.

Food prices were f**kin high, yeah. Most of it was good tho and we've been putting money away for months so we wouldn't have to worry about Glastonbury spends. But I was a bit troubled that it's all well and good with a pair of childless tech workers being able to turn up and have a good time, but when I first came to Glastonbury in 2013 I was earning minimum wage and managed to make it all work, I just don't think that same thing would be feasible for kids now. The festival can't help the cost of living crisis but ffs please can we crank up the car parking prices and subsidise the coach tickets? I'd be very in favour of a batch of discounted tickets for under 25s as well... Sadly just can't think of a way low income tickets would ever work at Glastonbury tho.

I think you are on to something with reduced tickets for under 25s or there abouts. I really noticed the increased number of younger people on site this year compared to last and I think it's so important. I love Glastonbury and I try and get there every year - but it's a love born when I was 15 years old. I don't think I would ever be able to afford it today in the same situation, it would only be a pipe dream.

I was able to get a ticket with one weeks wage from my weekend job having done a few extra hours as well, and I sustained myself with the next weekends wages which defo was mostly taking my own rice pouches and a camping stove plus sh*t whiskey! But still.

Another vote for Bayou, their surf and turf was excellent, fast moving queue, really nicely cooked chicken, top chips. Couldn't fault it.

Also had Calimari & Chips a couple of times from by the Taphouse bar which was really good.

Only duff food was a Lobster Roll from the Lobster place on the Pyramid > Other walk, overpriced and naff.

Also ended up having ridiculous meals for breakfast because there was never a queue and they were all delicious. This included a pizza, a chicken katsu curry, calamari and a goan fish curry. zero regrets.

I had a pie, mash and peas from Sam's Pie for breakfast one day for the same reason and it was an epic decision! Down with bacon rolls.

Didn't eat a bad meal all festival. Highlights were the burgers from Eat the Farm - top chips too - and our now festival staple, the Mega Crepe from by BBC introducing. Cookie dough wrapped in a crepe. Too much, over the top, perfection.

The 2008 speed doesn't surprise as '07 was a moist one (made bearable by the joy my four-year-old's mud fiend mentality)

2009 is a surprise after the vintage year (IMO) of 2008 (expanded site, 1st year for the Park I think)

I think 2007 was first year of The Park? Saw Lily Allen open it. It was meant to be MIA but she was MIA.

Love this thread as I just had my best Glastonbury ever (of 9).

    Agree with everything posted really.

I actually found it no more busy than 2017 or 2019 (apart from Elton) and the site looked stunning pretty much all around, Silver Hayes, Car Henge and Glastonbury on sea all looked great

Same same - definitely up there with my best, it really reminded me of 2000 in lots of ways. Felt like an old school Glasto.

Your avatar had reminded me of another delight. SO MANY QUEER PEOPLE. not just cause you can tell cause couples but like, groups of queer friends, lots of great content, the trans pride crew in Nomad. It just felt like the gays had come out to play! Was very cool indeed.

Sensational selection of shirts around, enjoyed seeing Rapid Wien at Carly Rae Jepsen and several Mexico vintages around.

Shout out to the guy who clocked my Ballard FC shirt in the markets from this thread too

Rapid!! I'm glad I didn't see this. I'd had two Pina Coladas!! My OH's and therefore my 2nd team.

I was going to play Super Saturday and try and get a selfie with someone in every Championship team top I could spot but it was too hot for shenanigans.

I'll start it off with Blondie.

Might be seen as controversial by some, but I feel Debbie just doesn't have it any more.

Started of well with 'One Way or Another' but then went rapidly downhill...time for her to step back.

    I thought they were excellent!

  9. Have you stopped in it? What's the craic?

We were borderline obsessed with it as every night when we walked past there up The Hill of Death there appeared to be another mid 00s pop act playing on a stage. It also seemed to have some Germanic looking wooden hotel.

Is it extra fancy? Do you also have to walk up a big hill to get in? I need deets

Are the flames also a bit less bright? I camped in Hawkwell for the first time since 2015 and i distinctly remember the last time I'd not only hear the whooosh but see it also from within the tent

We used to camp in the Park when the spider first arrived and it would shake our tent all night. I found it quite comforting to sleep to!

As a Coventry City fan my frustration was the handful of Luton Town fans I bumped into, all great friendly interactions and I of course wished them the best for the season ahead.

Every time I think I am beginning to get over that play off final defeat I seemed to bump into one 😂

Was the whole of Coventry there?! I have never seen so many Cov tops in my life!! Was lovely TBF.

I was going to put this in the "Frustrations" thread, but I thought it might be better for more open discussion. Or maybe this is a niche thing and I am literally the only person with an opinion on it.

I'm all into the spiritual stuff. I'm a yoga teacher and a reflexologist. And I just do not get Humblewell at all. It's like a corporate version of the Healing Fields. I certainly feel that the Healing Fields needs more space and practitioners, but I feel Humblewell is a bit oddly unapproachable. It's the difference between going to a yoga class at the local village hall and going into a posh, flashy yoga studio.

Am I just being an inverse snob?

No I felt the same it was a really weird flex. You have the Healing Fields - what's this?!

And I am not a yoga teacher at all but I love the time and space I have at Glastonbury to relax and connect with myself. It felt like Carlsberg sponsored wellbeing. V off.

  13. I would like to air my frustration at the man in the West Brom top who turned his back on me when I BOING BOINGed at him.

I later saw two Sunderland fans embrace each other and felt an extra wave of frustration at my fellow sh*t football team fan.

  14. We've got a frustrations thread - what about all the good things??

My delights to counter the frustrations:

    - I never queued for a toilet, which is unreal in itself, and every toilet I went into was clean! No exception. A first for me in 25 years.

    - I didn't eat a bad meal. A massive shout out to Eat the Farm who have ruined all other burgers for me. Great chips too.

    - the Co Op is a godsend. Reasonably priced, decent food available. I had a price marked Monster Energy. £1.55, what a deal.

    - the frozen margarita from the Glade Bar was exceptional. 10/10 lads.

  15. Tbh this sounds like my Glastonbury experience in 2000. Not sure it's new but you were just really unlucky which sucks! I would defo move next time. Not worth the hassle. In a quarter of a million people there will defo be dickheads. I also think last year was an anomaly because of 2020 tickets being spun over, so besides getting working shifts we had a lot less 15-19 year olds who wouldn't have bought tickets back then.

I saw lots of kids up to all sorts but nothing disrespectful. It was actually really good seeing kids getting to do their first glasto. Felt a bit eerie last year.

Bang on. So many acts on the Cabaret were visibly put off by stuff pumping into the tent from outside. Similarly, I bailed on Max Richter because – unless you were down the front – the Stonebridge Bar was ruining the experience.

Beth Orton doing Stolen Car acoustic on her own, being drowned out by a man shouting something like "Push it! Push it!" in Glasto Latino wasn't a vibe.

  17. Big up FMS and I know must have been an extremely tough year, losing someone on site.

On a lighter note I would most like to thank them for losing me in the system last year, as they were looking for a 40 year old woman and had immediately discounted me as I was far too young, and so thought I had left. The leg got bandaged AND the ego healed!!

Thought I'd be safe aiming to leave at about 7pm from blue east 5.

    Beginning to wonder now.

Think I'm leaking engine coolant and don't really want to get stuck in queues.

It was defo weird traffic management. We got out in about 90 minutes and no clear sign on why we spent ages still. Roads clear once off site! Good luck! Wouldn't fancy that myself either.

There’s a lot of crusting at the edges. Think the double legend thing has encouraged the blanket and chair crowd. Easy to find room though, I just walked through behind the BBC gantries easily enough

Read that as cruising. As it should be!
