  1. Seems like it's FolkEast (https://folkeast.co.uk/the-imagined-village/) and BD for The Imagined Village. Damn!
  2. Good spot! I've not seen anything and a bit of research didn't turn anything up. Hopefully it's GM!
  3. Saw today that The Imagined Village have reformed and are playing Beautiful Days (same weekend as GM). They're on my request list every year in the survey (out of blind hope, given they'd not played live since 2012), but maybe there's actually a chance?! Walled Garden at would be glorious.
  4. The Imagined Village?! Never thought I'd get the chance to see them. Hope they pop up at Green Man the same weekend.
  5. Phoebe Bridgers apparently playing Birmingham in June and Manchester & London in July, between her European festival commitments.
  6. As it stands, it seems like it'll be entirely new songs with Tyler as the main contributor to vocals - a couple of those songs will likely be versions of those she's been playing solo recently. I'd assume they'll play a few lowkey gigs in London in the spring, as they're still down for festivals (beginning with Primavera in early June). Having said that, I've heard one or two completely unsubstantiated rumblings at gigs recently that Isaac might return. No idea if those people were ITK or just hopeful.
  7. We picked up £5 tickets last year for the Corinne Bailey Rae day, although it really wasn't our sort of line-up. It was also a cold, blustery and showery day and capacity seemed as low as 10% by the time CBR headlined. Given that, I'm pleasantly surprised the event has returned. The bowl is very cool and that helps with the sound quality too. There was just one stage - a temporary one built over the lake in front of the historic stage. There were annoyingly loud DJ sets between the acts to keep people entertained. The site dealt moderately well with the conditions and they laid down matting on the well trodden areas. IIRC, there was a good canned beer selection from bars all around the top rim of the bowl and a few food trucks - although I'd have liked more and more variety. Toilets seemed decent too, although with a sparse crowd that might not be representative.
  8. The rumours I've seen have all said Cardiff too. Would make a lot of sense given it's never been held in Wales.
  9. Yes! Doing Settlers for the first time and very excited at the line up. Kraftwerk is a fantastic surprise - I was actually expecting them last year at one point, but then completely overlooked the possibility this time around! I'm sure that excite will only build as I discover more through your playlist. I hope you're able to make it along this year after the past 3 (?) summers.
  10. Fantastic band! Danalogue and Betamax are/were Total Refreshment Centre regulars and often collaborate with the likes of Alabaster DePlume and Zia Ahmed (vocalist in Sarathy Korwar's band) among others.
  11. Intrigued by BC,NR on there. Either an oversight from the organisers or what I'm hoping - they're committing to playing new material over the summer.
  12. Very true! Tyler has also performed solo recently as 'Tyler Cryde'. Plenty of collaborators too - Ethan P Flynn jumps to mind - although I don't expect they'll want to go down a 'replacement' route.
  13. Devastated by the BC,NR news. All the best to Isaac (and the rest of the band). He initially seemed an awkward fit as singer (after stepping up), but outwardly appeared to grow into that role recently. That obviously wasn't the case inside himself and both performing and such a statement and decision take a huge amount of courage. Three things in the band's favour - whilst being the singer, Isaac was never the 'lead' in the band (Lewis likely in that role); plus they've dealt with losing a singer before (in very different circumstances); and they're instrumentally dominant, likely partially as a result of the first two factors, but also because they're fantastic musicians. Looking forward to the album, but that'll be bitter sweet now, and also what they get up to next.
  14. I was fortunate enough to squeeze a lot of gigs and festivals into the second half of the year. It actually turned out to be my most prolific year to date in terms of number of different acts. Sorry for the long post. 10 was too hard to pick, then I got carried away reminiscing! 15. I've caught her three times at Festivals in recent years. First time was alright - a bit of fun, a novelty. Second was boring and seemed formulaic, the opposite of what the project was supposed to be. Third time, there was nothing else on but I still left after 15 minutes. Personally, I see her as a pop act suited to Latitude or the like rather than GM / EotR.
  16. Haha, yes! I was the tall guy with a mini backpack moshing with Dan and his group😂. He's like a drunk teenager at gigs, but with a ridiculously infectious positive energy. I'm normally on the edge of the rowdy section at gigs, but couldn't resist fully joining in last night.
  17. I really enjoyed Keg too, but The Lounge Society blew me away last night. Way, way better than their set at GM this year and very high up in my all time list. I'd nearly written them off, but glad I gave them another chance! I think we're probably going to be at the same Legss gig too. I caught Butch Kassidy earlier in the year at the Windmill and was expecting them to pop up at GM this year, but they fell just short in Rising. I think in a normal year, they'd have still played on the Rising Stage, if it didn't have slightly more established acts than usual.
  18. Me too! Was already excited, but Keg pushes it to another level.
  19. Intrigued by what they've got up their sleeves next. Nick especially always seems like a well liked/respected guy by members of other bands, with him and/or his kit popping up at various shows. Hopefully plenty more to come, even if no more LK.
  20. I thought they actually got worse as a band over the previous two years. Their original fake American schtick was (surprisingly) far more entertaining IMO. I hadn't heard the rumours but am not overly surprised as the singer always seemed to be apart from and apparently actively ignoring the rest of the band in crowds this summer. Something didn't seem right compared with the early days.
  21. He's UK-based anyway, although I don't know about the rest of the band (anyone?). Therefore, not sure if Ukraine makes it more or less likely. I'd like to see the results of the 'artists you'd like to see at GM' question from the survey. I reckon he'd be number one.
  22. Very encouraging news. I got very lucky on Twickets and bagged a cheap seat for the RAH show which then turned out to be front row (!), but was a little concerned that it and the remainder of this tour would get canned.
  23. I don't think the resale pages are open yet, but we'll have either 1 or 2 to sell on. Will naturally give a heads up here first.
  24. I read that the opposite way, in that they usually would have some saved for then but they don't this time around. Hope everybody here managed to get some!
