My worry is always getting stuck in traffic. But good to know it's possible! As I say, really thinking about getting a hotel near the O2 this year if we can find a cheap one. Then we could take our time getting over there on Tuesday night after rush hour.

It's such a stupid location. Appreciate a space issue but it adds an hour to the journey just getting through London as well.

You could try Air BnB for a private room - often cheaper. Although saying that, there’s not loads looking cheap for June 20th:

Maybe in order to book a coach from a location For example liverpool your registration needs to be registered to liverpool

If that was in the terms and conditions it could be implemented.

It would prevent the travelling from Bristol to Newcastle to catch a coach back to the festival (example only)

If See tickets found the registration didn't match up they could cancel the ticket minus a fee (again in the T&C's)

I appreciate not every area has access to coach tickets but it could be improved

(sit's down now waiting for the barrage of why this wont work)

What about a student at uni in Durham, but who's from Bristol?

Arcadia have done some good stuff around the world and presumably hope that somehow by appearing in Qatar they can "unite people for positive change", but will they actually make a difference in Qatar, are they hoping/expecting to make a difference or is it just for what will presumably be a huge amount of cash.

If it’s the former then the only thing spectacular about Arcadia Spectacular is the naivety.

Most of my time was spent shuffling between Pyramid, Holts and Park... and meeting the odd reprobate for a pint!

You're right, he was definitely an odd reprobate

I reckon I met twice as many reprobates as you did.

    Looks like they're locked it.

Wasn't intended for public consumption - yet. Was made by / for Where's My tent from what I read.

How about a Glastonbury all inclusive option food and drink for the full 5 days £500 per person, managed by wristbands and drinks in special cups.

Bargain. Could easily get a lot more than £200 worth of booze and food in me. Is merch included?
Can I hand a burrito to my wife on a normal ticket?

    I'm genuinely interested in this.

Here's two examples from other festivals I am/have been involved in.

Beautiful Days - they allow any type of vehicle to have a camper van pass and park up in the camper vans fields, I often see cars with CV passes parked in the CV fields.

Shambala - Camper van pitches are valid for converted live-in vehicles, or caravans only. No mention of coach-built motorhomes or draconian restrictions on what constitutes a "live-in".

So do GF have more strict conditions imposed by licensing, or have they made the decision themselves and if so why?

Interesting that these restrictions don't apply to crew camper vans or "live-ins", which suggests that it's not a licensing condition.

Of those I have camped at Glastonbury and Beautiful Days and massively preferred Glastonbury. The Beautiful Days campervan fields were an absolute mess with people parked on top of each other and all over the place. The toilets and elsan points were very poorly maintained. The plus points were that the showers were good and near to my pitch, and it wasn’t far to the gate (obviously as it’s 10% the size of Glastonbury). The showers were good to have as it was quite muddy (2021).

At Glastonbury I found CV East to be well spread out and organised with really well maintained toilets and elsan points. The drawbacks are the reverse of BDs - no showers and miles to the gate, the latter of which is down to the size. I wasn’t too fussed about the showers as Glasto was dry and I grabbed a later afternoon Greenpeace shower. Next time I won’t be bothered either as I’ve now fitted the shower to my van.

I will vouch for Suprefan that Hits Daily is by far the most accurate source for Coachella stuff - but it’s funny watching him getting into fights to stick up for them.

They didn’t need sticking up for. Totally unnecessary.

Its THE industry newspaper. They report on every inside detail and such. You guys want to believe only a uk source like the Sun can get credible info when a company that only deals with the music business and its inner workings tells it how it is. Same goes for Billboard except they just dont give you the dull articles unless you pay for the Pro subscription.

If you’ve ever wondered why people get so wound up by you, this is the answer.
The OP was simply asking a genuine question: is this a good source.
Rather than simply say you feel it is, you decided to take a swipe at everyone on the board, post in a really critical way, and make a massive error based on some misconception you have.

What's wrong with a transit van containing a mattress and camping stove?

Why stipulate the need for a "proper camper van" as in DVLA definition?

It's like the festival have forgotten their roots.

I’d have thought it’ll be to do with fire regs and insurance.

There’s a difference between “forgetting your roots” and 50 years passing, bringing new regulations and legislation.

And weirdly it has to be an actual camper van, not just  a transit with a mattress and camping stove.

Camper van fields look like Butlins

Good job they aren't that draconian over crew live-ins.

    Why is that weird?

  12. Absolute result for school leavers this year - the provisional GCSE exam timetable has just been released and the final GCSE exam is on Glasto Wednesday. There are hospitality and catering, and Polish exams on the 21st, so any 16-year-olds wanting to come are pretty much in the clear.

Have always camped at glasto but considering camper tickets this year....

My campervan would sleep 4 at a push, but could you bring a small tent to park up next to your camper if required? Would one campervan ticket cover 4 people as well?

Yep - tell the stewards how much room you need when they park you up and they'll leave you space.
