I've been religiously trying and still will be up until the Tuesday before. There is hope.... but anyone else interested just leave it until next year and help me out haha 😄

That's now passed... so initial thoughts... Next to nobody cancelled or they are thinking about doing a release of large bunch all at same time. Maybe after finally asking the festival for more places like last year

You can as long as you keep your session open. I.e. as long as your laptop takes to go into sleep mode... or not if u want to waste electricity 🙃

The issue is access. Oxfam work on worthy view and if your shift is there you will have a wrist band and everything is hunky dory. If not... then it's totally at the mercy of security and oxfam management. Technically its a no... you don't have shift there so you really don't need access. In the real world... oxfam work there so security will depending on how by the book or diligent they are let you through or tell you to get lost. Trying to actually camp there for 5 days you have no chance... you're going to get knocked back multiple times over the week. (Unless your shifts are there and that's a million to one shot haha) I personally would like them to allow access as I always have friends staying there and if I'm off shift it would great to go see them... but it's just not that simple.

Because the deadline for cancelling your glasto place without losing all your deposit is the 26th. So will be a few people cancel before they lose their money. I hope.... haha because I need a place.

It is what it is unfortunately. Now matter how they do it, its pot luck generally. Obviously some people can abuse it with bots but the demand is just so massive that they sell out very quick and you will more often than not fail to get through.

It makes bots very viable unfortunately. Not having to run any payment details or authorisations makes it a bot farms dream

I was trying group 5. Got through eventually but no coaches left from anywhere that people had stated as wanting. Think Liverpool, Manchester, London, Bath and Bristol sold out in a matter of seconds. Madness.

I would be a bit pissed if the coach didn't get you to glasto until the Wed night myself haha its the best day

You have to imagine they will just put the tickets back up for sale so page monitors will be needed haha

Cheers. So from all accounts only Bristol and London have multiple times for coaches. The others are just one set time by the sounds of it?

No choice as in you can't even pick the day? Haha

Quick query. When trying for coach tickets.. Is there times and days to select? Do you just pick the pickup place and book? I'm helping out today and want to know what to expect and the process. Never tried for coach before.

It is people in the office releasing them at very obscure times so they can tell their friends when to check and get a spot..... If we want to be really cynical haha

I could use some help getting my group tickets in the general resale if there are still people available to help. The system of booking makes it super easy now as you dont even have to pay just book the tickets and lead booker gets an email to pay afterwards.

I think as long as you send the email on the deadline day you will be ok. Places have poped up but not many at all this year. A bunch will pop up after the resale but again cant see it being that many. They may wait and put all the cancelled spots on at once in May.

The majority of shift patterns mean you will do 2 shifts over the Friday/Saturday/Sunday. The shifts based on last year were approx 6am to 2pm - 2pm to 10pm - 10pm to 6am. You will more than likely be off the day after a 10pm - 6am shift. There were lots more stewards last year and so there were less overnight shift patterns. This year I fear it will be back to normal and everyone will do an overnight shift. Swapping is complete luck... there will be a board where you can put your details on for swapping and there is usually a whatsapp group that people can talk to people about swaps. But you have to swap your whole shift pattern not just one shift.

They have changed the functionality. No the fesitval list is edited depending on what role you select first. So if you select shop it will only show the festivals that have shops. Well I think that is the intended change... not sure how accurate it is though. I would have thought all festivals they are at have campaigner roles etc? But the list is shorter.

Can you be my supervisor please? haha! To be fair mine was pretty good on gate C last year so cant really complain. I do think oxfam need to sort out their seating policy though. It destroys your feet standing for 3 x 8 hour shifts (plus all the walking). They need a proper rotating rest your feet for 10 mins. We set one up at latitude ourselves and it didnt half help. We had a seat out of sight of punters when possible and take tabard off to sit down for 10 mins... rotating every 10 mins so everyone got to rest their feet every hour or so. Harder to do at glasto when its busy but when its not so busy they should be making a point of looking after stewards feet if possible haha

No you cant. Unless you bring a proper live in vehicle and ok it with Oxfam. Limited places for campervans etc.
