You do realise its just tents? There is a few toilet blocks and couple of shower blocks. There's nothing else there... We know cost have increased and we expect prices to rise but a tent going from 650 to 950 quid in 5 years is mental. You're a fool if you think its not to make extra profit on the back of it. Now it may be to pay for other things at the festival, nobody is saying its not. But if you think its perfectly normal and just due to increase in providing the tents, you're talking sh*t.

All that stuff has not gone up 30% in 5 years. It's just an easy way of making outrageous profit... considering the facilities are as bad as they were 5 years ago

Do I have the probability completely wrong? 😄 If there is 500,000 people trying to connect to 1 spot. The chance of one of the 500k getting through is 500,000 to 1? Increasing the number just makes it harder for one of them to get through. Obviously if 1 group controls 10 of those people trying to connect then that groups chances become 50,000 to 1? The more people using more devices just makes it harder for everyone overall really? I wish they could just lock it down to 1 device/connection per IP address or the such. Or make you log in and your payment details have to match the registration of lead booker. That would reduce the total traffic significantly no? which would also be a good thing for stability.

If there is 1000 connections to the server. What gives people a better chance..... 1 million people trying to connect to 1000 spots or 500,000 people trying to connect?

Mail online have said they have confirmed its Coldplay dua lipa and madge headlining. Not sure how they get to reveal it before the actual festival haha

They deleted mine even though I confirmed my registration. Luckily I checked and noticed a couple of weeks ago so made a new one. Lots will not have checked. They have realised they deleted a load of peoples registrations by mistake and thus have delayed. I think people have had plenty of notice though and it should have gone ahead. But I guess its only fair.

You misunderstand me sorry, all I was saying was whether you, or I for that matter, think its worth the money is irrelevant to point at hand. If Live Nation want to pay it they will. I don't disagree, I think she is more likely to not do any festivals and just do stadiums. But more likely to do a LN festival than Glasto, as she already has the deal with them. (I would hope she did Glasto over Madge for my own enjoyment).

Well youre making that assumption it doesn't include the festival... And whether you think its worth the money or not is irrelevant. Anyway the point is.... with a deal signed with Live Nation the chances of her doing a Live Nation festival are much better than Glasto

Have you not read the article? She's signed a 32m quid deal with them.... so they have coughed up. Granted thats for arena gigs on the tour as well but they will likely have exclusivity on a festival appearance

Nah. Live Nation pay the moolah they could easily have her on.. I would say the only question is would they put her on? does she appeal to the 17 year old crowd? 😄

If shes signed a deal with Live Nation that means she wont be playing Glasto but will more likely be playing the likes of Leeds Reading

I don't pretend to know the running costs or how much they have increased but... 200,000 x £20 = £4m. Even we just say 100k tickets it's an extra 2 million quid... It's a massive amount of money. Has the cost of everything increased over 20%? Is the festival costing over £50m quid? Those numbers are insane.... Obviously I'm just spit balling and don't know the proper details.
