All I can say on the headphone thing is that Skullcandy Indy do not stay in your ears! It's ok at the moment and I've got a headband on to keep my ears warm and that's holding them in place, but otherwise they're all over the shop!
I've borrowed these from Mrs Q before for summer running and they were decent. Didn't have the cable noise issue, might be different model to yours @Baggins7?
Yeah they're the ones I have. To be fair if I wear a base layer under my top and tuck the cable down the back it stays still and I get less noise but I have noticed it in a looser top where it can bounce around a bit. Going to stick with them for another couple of months and try to go cableless once I've done more research!

Might be too late to the headphone discussion but I got a pair of Sony Bluetooth headphones (over head ones) for Christmas and I have not had to charge them since the first charge (using them 3 times a week), they were cheap (£35 I think) and they are very comfortable. Couldn’t recommend highly enough
How do you find them to run in? I skipped past the idea of over head headphones as I thought they would bounce around and went for in-ear Sony with a cable that hangs around your neck. The sound is good but they don’t stay in very well and get a lot of running shirt rustle when the cable rubs against my top which seems to create a lot of noise somehow.
On the hunt for some totally cableless in-ear headphones or potentially over head

New single from YONAKA out today Seize the Power. Big fan of their EPs and album but not so sure on this one. Hopefully a sign that more new music on its way

Oooh you can load music...? I guess only from MP3 though?
Yeah some of the Garmin watches store music, I know the Fenix, Venu, and some of the Forerunner models have this. You can link them to your spotify, deezer or amazon accounts and download playlists, albums and podcasts to your watch and listen through bluetooth headphones. I think you can upload your own MP3s aswell but I haven't tried this way.
I spent a bit extra on the watch than I'd planned so went for some cheaper headphones which was a bad move! Next investment will be some decent headphones that are comfy, cancel out the wind and actually stay in/on my ears!
I'd be interested if anyone has any running headphone recommendations in here?

Made the leap from Fitbit and got a Garmin Fenix 6 for Christmas. Lots of stats and functions compared to the Fitbit, and it's taking a while to get used to, but I'm really impressed so far.
I'm very much a plodder but I'd like to get my speed up, I think the Garmin will help with that.
I also made the switch from Fitbit to a Garmin Venu at Christmas. Love that you can load music to it and it has its own GPS so no need to carry a phone. Got into a really good running routine pushing for a sub 20 5k until my partner tested positive so no activity for 10 days.
Nothing beats a good playlist or album to run to, one of my favourites to run to is Amyl and the Sniffers- 1

Big fan of Bicep album, straight to the top of my AOTM. Really enjoyed shame after a few more listens but not sure how much I’ll go back to it, although I’d love to see them live. Not a bad start to the year at all music wise

I wasn't big on songs of praise at all but the new Shame album has me icredibly hooked. Feeling a lot of talking heads and parqurt courts on this one.
Great shout on the PC comparison, they were a band that didn’t click with me straight away but then became a big fan so will definitely give this a few more spins

I wanted to watch it too, but unfortunately I think it's on some weird channel called starzplay or something, and I think you have to subscribe to it in top of amazon prime TV subscription or something. Both have free trials though, so if you wait til all eps have been on then do a free trial you might save some money.
I liked the original TV movie (well I saw it on VHS) as a kid!
Thanks! Yeah good thinking, free trial and binge watch. I find Stephen King translates very well or very badly into films but more good than bad so always worth a go

I'm on episode 3 of The Stand. It's not bowling me over so far. I don't remember that much about the previous mini series apart from being pretty terrified, but aside from a jump scare here and there this remake isn't doing it for me. The structure isn't helping either, jumping back and forth all over the place.
I'll stick with it but I'm preparing for disappointment.
Where can I watch this? The Stand is one of my favourite books so keen to see how it translates onto the screen

Not a very exciting release day today so will be checking back for recommendations. New one from Black Honey which is ok, and nice to hear that Gengahr have delivered on their tweet to start 2021 big with American Gods, great track.
-
Kings of Leon have teased 6 new tracks on twitter over the last few days and hinted at some sort of release on Thursday. Interested to hear these in full, the clips not giving much away apart from all having 5 syllables like their previous albums

Thanks for pulling this together @SwedgeAntilles. Great year for music let’s hope for more of the same in 2021 when we can’t hopefully actually see some of it live

Eminem side B to Music to be Murdered By dropped today. Was surprised how good I thought the previous album was although I haven't revisited it much through the year so will give this a few spins over the weekend

Add in Ocean Alley, Ball park Music, Tired Lion, Violent Soho, Spacey Jane, Skeggs, San Cisco and download the Triple J app. The Oz scene is in fine form at the moment
Cheers I’ll have a listen to those. I actually discovered a lot of new artists through a triple J covers playlist! Parcels another one to mention although I already had these on my radar

Think I have my top 10s but giving a few more listens this week to finalise an order. In the meantime I have put all songs selected into an efestivals SOTY playlist on Spotify. Playing it on shuffle and already a few that had gone under my radar. Will update each day for any new entrants
Link below if anyone wants to listen

Almost passed me by but Aussie electronic trio Crooked Colours released another single today, really good signs for the album next year if they keep up the standard of their 2020 singles
-
Lots to like about the new single and B side from Elder Island
-
New release from Lime Cordiale sounds great, just seen they are re(?)releasing their album from earlier this year which is an AOTY contender for me but with an additional 6 tracks. Not the biggest fan of when bands do this but I didn't get round to buying a physical copy of the original so this one will include everything.

Very much looking forward to Arlo Parks and Black Honey, although pretty sure Black Honeys has been delayed until 19 March. Decent first month of 2021 either way
