  1. Not much more to see from Bramham, they’ve fenced off my walking route to prepare for the guest campsite so that’ll be it from me. It looks like it’s being built at the same speed as Reading so whoever’s local there will have a better view than this
  2. They're quick to update the poster but Lewis Capaldi is still on the artists page of the website, as are Spiritbox, although Ho99o9 have been taken down
  3. It's obviously not sustainable if you do it on the scale of some of the La Liga clubs - my club found that out the hard way chasing the Champions League at the turn of the millennium. My point to the Kane/Benzema argument is that you could absolutely see Kane signing for Real Madrid if they sorted their finances out, but a striker on the same level or fee (Mbappe, Neymar when they both went to PSG for £160m+) wouldn't sign for a PL club. How PSG afforded and got away with signing both of those in the same window I'll never know
  4. This stat becomes more insane to me every time I see it Not just Messi but there seems to be a real struggle from PL clubs in attracting the top top players in the world. Obviously Lukaku and Varane have signed this summer but in the class above them you can't see the likes of Messi, Ronaldo, Neymar, Mbappe coming here, even if it is described as the best league in the world. Maybe Haaland will be the exception
  5. A secret set from them would be mad, particularly if there's space in the Pit. I'm hopeful they've got something planned other than their run of intimate gigs and Slam Dunk in September
  6. So many bands they could potentially cherry pick from, any of Loathe, Scarlxrd, Static Dress, Malevolence or While She Sleeps would be ideal. Can definitely see any of the first three but I'm not getting my hopes up for WSS
  7. City Morgue have got the app notification saying "unfortunately City Morgue are no longer able to perform" written all over them. Really hope it's not the case, R&L, a warm up in London and two gigs in Poland a couple of days after are all they have in Europe though, plus they have a gig in Chicago in the 21st
  8. Catfish & The Bottlemen City Morgue Post Malone
  9. If you want to re-read my reply I did say teams “like” Rotherham, bet he didn’t fancy it down at The Den did he? 6 goals and 6 assists that season is hardly special for your little golden boy. He’ll be much better in Manchester being carried by De Bruyne
  10. I imagine they’ll be saving them up for an announcement next week or when the app/set times are out but it’s still not great. It’d be less embarrassing for them to derail all the changes at once than post every time an act pulls out. It’ll have to be officially announced soon, you’d be fuming if it got down to set times coming out only to find your favourite band had pulled out.
  11. At Leeds they’ve surely got to be side by side, I don’t know where else they could physically fit another main stage. It’s going to have to be a fairly big rejig of the Leeds arena. I’ve run from the front of the main stage to the front of the R1 plenty of times and it takes 5-10 minutes in the early afternoon noon so it’d be chaos if there was only a five minute changeover with headliners etc!
  12. Wolf Alice Sea Girls The Wombats Two Door Cinema Club
  13. Liam Gallagher Tom Grennan Creeper Neck Deep
  14. Think he would regardless, doubt he cares what Andy from Leeds writes on efestivals.com
  15. LG is a strange one. He's fantastic live and think he's absolutely big enough to headline a festival like R&L in this country but this is his ceiling. He's obviously heavily reliant on the Oasis songs but to a lot of people he is Oasis. Yeah you don't get most of the songs Noel sings but you're getting the majority of the first two albums which is enough to fill a headline length set. Most people won't care less who the backing band is, they're there for Liam, plus Bonehead tends to play the bigger gigs. He's big enough to headline R&L but this is it without Oasis. If anyone was at Finsbury Park you'll know how good he can be
  16. Not seen them live but the new album is good. I'd see them at Slam Dunk but I can't bring myself to pay £85 for a handful of bands. So many acts touring the weekend of/week after R&L, absolute minefield guessing if any will do a secret set
  17. Anyone reckon Waterparks could do one in the Pit? They're in the UK for an album launch tour starting on the Monday after R&L before heading to Slam Dunk. They were on the 2020 lineup in the R1 tent
  18. His style definitely suits the Premier League, just six goals and six assists in his last Championship season. The biggest problem for him will be living up to to the British record transfer fee. If Pep keeps rotating his squad and Grealish can't hit the ground running as a result the media will hound him. Don't think I'd care if I was on £350,000 a week mind
  19. I've always thought Catfish's albums have strong first halves, poor second halves (bar the odd song) and a strong final track. Tyrants, Outside and Overlap have been some of the best for me but The Ride has been the worst
  20. So fans of other clubs don't have that opinion then? Or do you want me to ignore the fact he's lazy and dives at every opportunity? Didn't show up in the Championship when he was getting kicked out by teams like Rotherham did he...
  21. Machine Gun Kelly Fever 333 IDK how but they found me alfie templeman
  22. Those were days when they used to play Sidewinder and open with Rango, elite Catfish
  23. Absolutely, crowd wasn’t best pleased when they didn’t play it at Leeds arena. Doesn’t feel the same when they don’t do it
  24. Hoping my mates stick around for Relentless so I can catch both. It’s got the potential to be unreal in the tent
