The festival’s last day is Saturday.
-
Jungle's facebook yesterday reads: LONDON > AUGUST > 2023 > SIGNUP Note style detail of APE logo...
-
Do get the sense someone reasonably big is announcing on Tuesday. God knows who.
-
Apparently Crystal Palace is 8k. And the support has been disclosed as Erykah Badu who is a decent name (was main headliner at Primavera two editions back).
-
Ah, that’s helpful. So as we know Folamour is playing a festival in the north on Saturday and then in London on the Sunday, then he must be doubling up with APE on the Sunday ie the Jungle day is the second Sunday.
-
Surely Saturday 26th or Sunday 27th much more likely (next day not a working day)? Fairly sure they've never had a day before on the Sunday of the first weekend.
-
Any idea if they’re playing the Sunday?
-
Great work. Do you have a sense of which day?
-
And another week gone by. Friends are making other plans now… Is it allowed now to say it’s disappointing that we haven’t had a single new name in 4 months?
-
Totally with you. Field Day lineups were brilliant generally and huge bills. This year we seem to have average headliners and not much strength in depth either.
-
They looked absolutely brilliant for my tastes in the year that was scrapped for Covid. Major shame…
-
New Order seems unlikely to me, be based on timing. On the other hand, rumours of Jungle touring at end of August and would seem a great fit. Make it happen!
-
The information on Jungle and the other names seemed so specific that I'm now inclined to believe it, even though on paper it makes no sense to book a headliner that can't fill an 8,000 person venue.
-
In fairness there's still half the year left for it to sell out.

Twigs is out isn't she; they just don't want to be the ones to announce it. -

Can’t miss it. Just take a left at Isengard and follow the path of the souls, keeping Rivendale on your right flank. -

Yeah, the Jessie Ware set alone was my favourite one across both weekends. Was just a big party. -

Gaz Coombes is playing twice now?? Or he’s moved day and they forgot to delete him from the original day… -
Interesting but there’s no sub on that list. Who are you expecting on the second line?

I was looking forward to Ghost but I can't miss New Order and Blur and they will inevitably clash. Agree on some of the comments re Saturday... -

Kendrick Lamar, Depeche Mode, New Order, Blur, Rosalia (and Pet Shop Boys as biggest name they’ve ever had for both Weds and closing party) For all the gnashing of teeth at Calvin Harris, it’s fair to say they’ve done a stellar job with headliners this year… -

Maybe they are waiting for New Order to post first. Clearly this is not a sudden Twigs replacement… -

Not that it was ever in doubt but Blue Monday came out…40 years ago today.
