  1. Black Midi will be mindblowingly good in a club at 1 in the morning. Good call.
  2. For as long as I remember VIP has had priority for Ciutat gugs and I think they referred to preferential entry when they were selling them.
  3. Last year’s Ciutat was like a festival in of itself. 4 days had about 40 names playing each night. It’s a shame Poble Espanyol isn’t being used this year. Such a good venue.
  4. That’s really encouraging!! On that basis, maybe by Friday.
  5. I think having to also line up times Madrid could act as a potential complication to delay matters if they want to release the timetables at the same time.
  6. Still another 9 names to come if they are going to match last year. Could do with a biggish name or two as the mid-card is pretty weak.
  7. Timetables are out! (umm, well, for Ciutat) https://www.primaverasound.com/es/barcelona/primavera-a-la-ciutat-barcelona-2023-programme
  8. As long as Ghost and Turnstile don't both clash with Blur and New Order I'll be happy.
  9. Good news, it looks like you will be book more than 1 ticket (2 presumably?).
  10. 15% of tickets for e.g. Apolo = 187 tickets available. I won’t be my holding breath for those alas, especially as available to the general public.
  11. If I remember they did talk about reservations for those too but I wouldn’t be surprised if they just go for the old system of no queues for VIPs, queue for GA as this seemed to work fine for all previous years. But also feel that it will be easier to get in this year. Last year’s intense post covid enthusiasm (and stronger lineup) won’t be replicated.
  12. Frank Ocean on a purpose-built indoor ice rink
  13. No one knows but it’s possible. Given VIP a disaster last year, should be fewer sales. Plus a lot (but not all) of VIP are buying primarily for extra comfort and are more fairweather than GA ticketholders.
  14. The most amazing thing I thought was that PSB are going to play to a gazillion people on Wednesday. And then only 1,600 people on Sunday (they put them in Apolo, not Razzmatazz).
  15. I don’t think so. People who wanted to go to the free Weds shows in the past always got in and, ok, PSB are a bigger draw but would be balanced out by using Mordor. Can’t compare to the mishandled Ciutat shows last year which had its own unique set of circumstances.
  16. The forum is massive and I’d be confident that even in that unlikely worst case scenario they would still allow some entries to ticketholders only on the day. And a lot of residents will be clueless of the need to pre-book at a specific early date and time. They’re not following things closely as we are, they’re not getting an email reminder etc.
  17. Not if they have the Weds act on the main stage for the first time (which I suspect is the plan).
  18. Weds: Confidence Man->Pet Shop Boys——->Darkside
  19. Good looking system for Ciutat this year. Have to pay a 10 euro/concert deposit which should help stop no shows VIP get priority in booking which is a major new perk for them and could in theory mean some concerts are sold out before open to GA.
  20. I miss the old days when VIP came with unlimited free beer all festival. Not sure that was ever going to be sustainable with an increasingly British audience…
  21. There’s a gap in Sala Apolo’s schedules for the Wednesday night. Hmm…
  22. Yet another absolute banger today from Goldfrapp. Thursday is crazy stacked...
  23. Slowdive and Interpol both played additional gigs at Ciutat (and Little Simz was scheduled too also but cancelled her Ciutat show at the last minute).
