RE: Tame Impala and Sam Fender headlining, my suspicion is that both will have new albums out in the next year, so I don’t think it’s an unrealistic expectation. If they’re not there next year I’ll see them on tour anyway. Would be nice to save a few quid, though.

My headliner picks for next year would be Tame Impala, Madonna and Sam Fender. Kate Bush for the legends slot. A man can dream, right?

The same debate crops up every year and has done since I started going to the festival in 2008. I've no doubt it preceeded then too. If you want change you've got to get organised - start a petition, write to the festival. Moaning about it on here won't help. It never has.

The last time I went to Glasto was 2016 and the weather was terrible. It was probably the most miserable experience I've had at the festive. The fact that the weather's been great for so many years since means that it'll be an absolute washout the next time I manage to bag a ticket.

I'm still baffled G'n'R are headlining Glastonbury at all, let alone on the Saturday Night. I'm not huge on rock music and even I'm aware that a) the band are past their prime and b) Axl Rose's voice sounds like shite. I'll be tuning in tonight out of curiosity more than anything else.

Every year, like clockwork. The flags, the mud and the Scousers chewing their faces off are all fundamental parts of the Glastonbury experience - and they always will be.

Maybe I don't actually like Arctic Monkeys as much as I thought I did. Maybe they just remind me of a particular time of my life. They peaked at Favourite Worst Nightmare for me, so I think that says a lot.

The Arctics being a bit shite has calmed my FOMO somewhat. I've also started being proactive about preparing to go next year. I've made an Amazon Wish List for everything I need and I'm going to start working on a fitness plan too. I've not been since 2016 and this week has been the first time in ages I've had that deep stomach churning urge to go back. I'll sell my soul for a ticket. I'll do whatever it takes. I'm going.

I popped on to see what people thought of the Arctics and I’m glad I’m not the only one feeling a little disappointed. His accent’s all over the place. Feels like they’re going through the motions a bit. Where’s the charm? Where’s the atmosphere? Where’s the charisma? Glad I decided not to see them tour this year if it’s anything like this. It’s not terrible… But it’s not very good either.
