Anyone fancy hazard a guess at when Avalon Emerson might play. Never seen her.

I’ll have a crack at it - Depending on the headliners for whichever night she’s playing, could see her being either one before or one after Job Jobse b2b Palms Trax, so like closing slot or 11.30-1am ?

Not a stupid question at all, the answer is it's not "acoustic" at all. It's just a name for the tent. I can't remember the last time I saw an act actually play acoustic on there.

Well this is fantastic news ! Looks like I’m spending Friday evening from Undertones onwards drinking my body weight in ale at acoustic stage! *

*then firmly getting trollied to some boom-booms and wub-wubs at Arcadia

Take all the tents tuesday night and give your mates the sleeping bags / crates / chairs. Or take like 2 each so 4/5 are pitched and then you could easily save room for the last one i' m sure

Ah cheers yeah that was potentially on the cards just unsure if we’ll see them beforehand to get the tents and stuff as they’re coming from elsewhere , but thanking you!

  4. Evening troops, just a quick one

there’s 7 of us going (5 tents in all)- 3 of the tents will be arriving on-site Wednesday afternoon, and the other 2 of us are contemplating doing Tuesday overnight just for a decent enough spot

What’s the realistic chances of getting pitched up  Oxylers with 2 tents , then waiting for the others to arrive with adequate space left over for the other 3?

They’re way bigger name than all of them. They’re headlining the creamfields 2nd stage. I really hope they do manage to get a good spread on the crowd. It’s gonna take a lot I think.

yeah it's a tough one, unless they really do have a mad capacity for that stage this year, the headliners of glade are all big enough to pull a ridiculous crowd so it will be interesting to see. Maybe SH are putting Norm on the the Thursday?? But yeah i fully agree i might dip in for Franky then swiftly exit before everyone piles in

If Camelphat are closing glade on Thursday. Who the hell is booked to clash with them to disperse the crowd? 😱. These guys are huge, they could headline the other stage by themselves. Very exciting stuff

looking at Silver Hayes Lineup there's a fair few who could match them on there i think - Gorgon City maybe, Paddy T b2b EE, Job Jobse b2b Palms trax ? but you'd be looking at the strongest Thursday of any festival of all time

  7. i know there's no official Anjuna at glasto this year, but Franky will be the next best thing - this is a belting Thursday early evening booking for Glade to kick things right off

Some DJ’s don’t do it live? The whole superstar knob twiddler thing is baffling at the best of times but miming playing other peoples records is taking the piss

nah some DJ's have a pre-recorded sets, but you see this more when you get into the huge name DJ's/Poser DJ's like Paris Hilton and all the 2010's EDM kinda stuff . It's not limited to that though it could be anyone.

mainly from what I can gather it's because if you've got a light and show production at somewhere like Tomorrowland, it's less stress to just have a pre-recorded set that's already in sync with the rest of the production. A DJ should be able to read a crowd and play accordingly to that crowd but if you're going to watch Guetta then you're going to watch him and his tracks if that makes sense?

I don't agree with it either,  give me a DJ that fucks up every now and again and laughs it off and can play a multitude of stuff

I think I might do Two Shell then Bicep, we'll have to see. Very happy

that's not a bad way to go to church on a sunday! I think i'll be at Kendrick just because the group will be, which i'm not adverse to, and i'm gonna get the chance to see Bicep again I feel, but it will literally be down to where I'm at on the day

2 Shell 9pm Sunday (not sure if SH though) @Obiginnaw

    I just insta dmed.

out of upvotes but top stuff! @MaxPower will also be buzzing !

but eeesh that's already looking like clash central Sunday night, or at least a right old runaround the farm with Bicep and Kenny that evening

I'm more of a techno person but if it's a good laugh I may check her out if i'm in the area, which is quite likely as I love The Glade.

yeah as said above she's more house centred, and i reckon so also on the Glade, but as she's first and foremost a DJ she plays everything, i reckon you'd enjoy yourself moreso on her arcadia set if you're more techno inclined- she definitely went a bit heavier than her radio 1 stuff there in 2019.

That is a ridiculous line up for a festival that technically hasn’t actually started yet!!

i remember thursday in 2019 being one of the best nights there for me, the silver hayes lineup was very tasty (prospa, ross from friends, mella dee and Jayda G if i recall)   and i expect similar/bigger this year !

Camelphat are closing the glade on Thursday according to their Twitter. What time do we think glade closes on Thursday?

According to 2019 it closes at 2.50, so I’d expect the run of Franky Wah>Digweed >Sasha > Camelphat

It’s not the greatest beer in the world…

it's certainly drinkable but i agree with you. unfortunately London Pride, Whitstable Bay or Spitfire won't be dotted around the site so i'll have to make do. I'm more a lager drinker these days but i love the occasional afternoon ale or 2 to get me through the day into the evening
