Would bet my ticket on them appearing, really popular within the industry from what I gather. Tent was closed off at Latitude, about 500 of us were dancing next to it in the forest.

Crikey. Where would they play then?

I had Williams Green in my head, but are we thinking early Park or WH?

    FTFY

Whilst it'll never reach the dizzying heights of BettingSlipGate, Henry, I concede my hindsight may have been dulled with a tinge of nostalgia.

“Big in Japan” used to be a thing in the 90’s, some tiny acts over here were inexplicably much more popular over there.

I recall one hit wonders Shampoo (ask your grandads kids) having a massive following over there.

Guest Act at University of London Union Freshers Fayre around 1993.

Think Daphne and Celeste at Reading Festival...

Are Foals bigger than Billie Eilish’s mum? And has she heard of Stormzy?

Billie Eilish's mum secret Park Stage set on the Saturday. Mums all the way up the hill to the Crows Nest.

The 'have our mums heard of Stormzy' thing was a cracking couple of days on here!

See, the trick is to do what I did and make peace with being a w*nker before looking at the wider world. Then it's just an incremental increase in my level of w*nkiness rather than the shock of starting from scratch.

    I see.

    Sickening innit?

    Very. 🙂

I've gone from being a non-runner who saw people out running and thought, "Ugh. WTF are they doing?! Awful people!"

To being a runner and seeing people out running who are proper runners and thinking, "Ugh. How TF do they go that quickly?! Awful people!"

And now find myself going to a Mountain and Running Festival...to run...and realising, "Oh my god, I'm a complete w*nker! How did this happen???!!!***"

    😆🤣😂

***I squarely blame @Superscally, just for the record.

Ran 21 miles yesterday, just under 3.30.

    First 15/16 were solid.

Then the legs started to go a bit, crawled the last 3 miles!

Stairs are a big issue and have a little numbness in 2 toes, my body is very much looking forward to this taper!

Well done!!! All you people posting these amazing times...i dunno!

  9. In all my years of going to Glastonbury I can genuinely say I've never heard so many people complaining as I did about Kanye when I wandered back to my tent at the front of Row Mead to re-supply.

I'd spent all that afternoon / evening at the Park and walked back after Jon Hopkins headlined. I was walking against a tide of people returning from (leaving?) Kanye - not sure if the park finishes before the Pymild headliner or not - and it was an audible bow wave of vocal disappointment.

Made me a bit sad for those people to be honest. Impossible to tell if they were disappointed fans of KW or casual fans who'd come to see what all the fuss was about.

    Never known anything like it.

A shame, I do wonder how well it was marshalled and sign posted as there was obviously room for confusion. I do see the other side though, and rules are rules, but event organisers should maybe shoulder some responsibility for the error. Fortunately I've never, and will never be leading a race to have to make those kind of decisions, just follow the person in front and try to keep up 🏃‍♂️

I got lost during Andover Trail Marathon.

Which is VERY well sign posted and marshalled.

    And it's my local marathon.

    Along routes i regularly run.

And i've run it three times before!!!!!!!!!!!!! 🙂

I ran the Bristol half, and the signage and marshalling directing runners right and left for 10k and Half was pretty clear, unless you were completely zoned out I don’t know how you’d miss it.

You say that but i was leading this year's Salisbury Plain Marathon at one point, which was a first.

Unfortunately it was only for about the first 10 metres due to being a turn up and run at any time between 8 and 8.30am!

Mind, legs and lungs, in no particular order, so long as you can hold all 3 together you're laughing. Just the 8 miles for me this morning, not done any structured training for about 9 years now, more a case of keeping the legs ticking over. I don't run with a watch anymore either,  which I've found to be liberating. If my body holds up and I stay fit and healthy, I still fancy 1 more marathon in 3 years time, a new good for your age cat (I'll be 60). Depending on travel I may even make it a special one, if anyone has any suggestions based on previous expenses I'm all ears.

Trail rather than road, and definitely not flat, but Beachy Head Marathon is an absolute blast. Beautiful route too.
