Always worth wearing anything new a few times before Glasto in case they're not as comfortable as she initially thought. I have an embarrassing collection of shoes that fit me fine in the shop (usually Primarni) but are too tight once I've walked around in them for 10 minutes.
I recommend investing in good quality walking boots and wellies with good reviews. Although they will be pricier if you can keep an eye on online sales you can get some real bargains (allow plenty of time for breaking them in/exchanging if necessary). Pumps and flipflops can be cheap as chips as she's not likely to be wearing them for as long.

Wellies, hiking boots/trainers (depending on forecast) and a pair of slip ons/flip flops for lazing around the campsite and
ifwhen it's roasting. -
Communication and compromise, the two most important things in a relationship. Get those down and everything will be rosy.

Bump!
I've just about recovered from my weekend in the wilderness, it was cloudy most of the weekend with only a tiny bit of drizzle (I made sure to stay outside and round the fire - NFR NFC!)
Got home on Monday after very little sleep, stinking of fire and ale and with a head full of awesome memories... any guesses what that reminded me of?

I took a double airbed last year as I sleep on my side so get sore hips otherwise. The only problem was that me and my sister rarely went to sleep at the same time and you need 2 people on it to balance it properly (I collapsed onto it one night and she bounced off the side; she got up for the loo and I sunk to the floor, etc...)
I've bought us two single airbeds instead for this year, with attached (but separately inflated) pillows and storage space so should be pretty damn comfy this year
£12ish from here if anyone's interested, I've bought a few things from them recently and all been good quality when they arrived (even sent me a much better and more expensive gas stove when the one I ordered was out of stock

T-shirts all looking fab guys! Sorry for initiating a fight and buggering off, it's been a very long week and I haven't had a chance to post much.
I'm off to the Peaks with mates tomorrow for the long weekend, a good chance to wear my new wellies (seeing as they obviously won't be needed at Glasto) and break in the hiking boots. More importantly I will be testing my cherry drop vodka and homemade ginger beer!
Only downside is I'll have no phone signal/wifi/tv so if the line up arrives after lunchtime tomorrow I won't have a clue until Monday afternoon, I must try not to drive myself crazy thinking about it!
The weather was beautiful when we did the same last year, I am preparing for it to be a washout this time and will be sure to go hiking in the rain to appease the NFR NFC gods.

All todays links were from band pages so all band fans were diving in at 9am sharp thinking it would sell out and the entire BST tickets site went ga ga!!
When I got tickets for Black Sabbath the site was fine.

Managed to get some tickets for this through the presale link this morning even though I can't make it myself unfortunately
Be warned anyone trying in the main sale the website was awful this morning, it kept telling me I had tickets reserved then the checkout page kept crashing. When it eventually sorted itself out it had reserved me 8 tickets instead of 4, luckily I noticed before putting card details in!

The current kindness of strangers thread on here reminded me of something.
In 2009 during a drunken stupor on the Thursday night i lost my canon camera at the cider bus.
The next day despite my pessimism it got handed into lost and found.
Upon retrieving it I found it had be found by 2 ladies at the Cider Bus who had taken it on their night out and filled it with (mostly blurry) pictures of their adventures around site.
I know this is a massive massive long shot but I've always wondered if anyone knows them. I certainly owe them a drink
In absence of ever finding them I send my thanks into the ether every year at the bus.
