Had a great day at South on Saturday...but, man, it is amazing how they continue to struggle with the basics when it comes to the organisation of this festival. You do start to wonder if they just don't give a sh*t.
The bands saved the day once again.

On the Enter Shikari/The Offspring clash...
I have made a decision; I'm going to watch The Offspring. I was looking through their recent setlists and I want a piece of that. Also, it could well be my last chance to see them.
My day now looking like this: Trash Boat -- Spanish Love Songs -- Millencolin -- Fit For A King -- The Menzingers -- Creeper -- The Offspring.
Nice.

Who do we think will get the bigger crowd, shikari or offspring?
The Offspring I would have thought.
I'm still undecided. I love The Offspring but I've seen them a few times and they have never been great. The group I'm with are completely divided so i'll make a last minute decision I think.

Anyone else starting to worry?
Yes! It just doesn't stop raining.
Wettest April in 40 years and May is looking like it will go the same way.
Running out of time to dry out now.

Finch have announced two What It Is to Burn 20th anniversary shows later this year. Always kicked myself for not going to tenth anniversary shows all that time ago and thought I’d missed my chance so I’m all over the Manchester date:
Manchester New Century - 7th November
London O2 Forum Kentish Town - 8th November
(Funnily enough, there’s a DJ that goes by the name of Finch that I keep getting Songkick reminders for every time he tours so I just assumed it was him again, so was extra surprised to see it was the real deal this time).
Oh shit!!! I need to get on this

I've just received an email saying:
We moved you to reserved seating at the new venue, however we have managed to secure some extra standing tickets due to a limited amount of production releases.
We've now swapped your booking to standing tickets - your new tickets will be available in your online account closer to the event date.Wondering if anyone else has had this or my complaining has worked?
Damn, good effort. No such luck here.
I clearly didn't complain hard enough.

I've just been offered a refund. the annoying thing is that it's probably going to be really difficult to get standing for this gig now they've ballsed this up as everyone who's got seats is going to be after them!
Yeah I have just been offered a refund too.
Looks like the entire arena is now sold out so very little chance of finidng standing tickets. Seated it shall be.

Is it actually possible to speak to a human at Ticketmaster? Anyone have a number please?

has anyone here had their gig moved to a different venue (brixton academy => Wembley arena), originally bought standing tickets and had their tickets changed to seating?
this has just happened to me and i'm quite upset! is there any way around this? ticketmaster customer service is just speaking to a robot
Yep just found out this morning. I purchased 4 standing tickets for Brixton on day one of sale and they have been switched to seating at Wembley - not happy!!

Surely that's not the line-up lol
-
I love The Offspring but they have sucked pretty bad every time I've see them so I'll be at Enter Shikari. The good news is it sounds like I will get to see Creeper too.
-
This is a pain! I'm supposed to be seeing Hundred Reasons here in early March...and Limp Bizkit in April. Hopefully they can find other venues.

I will be going to this for sure

I wonder if we could get Finch on the line-up.
Just announced for RockAmRing which is the week after SD

Just anecdotally it feels like there is a lot of buzz around these gigs. Quite a few people I know are interested in going to Finsbury.
Yeah agreed. If I don't get Glasto tickets I will have to nip down the road to IOW on the Friday I think.

This is going to be a clash nightmare.
Surely all the headliners won't play at the same time? Am I right in thinking last year when Sum 41 played, all the other headliners were done - except Nova Twins maybe? I was hoping to see The Offspring, Enter Shikari, The Menzingers and Creeper. Doubt very much that is going to happen.
-
Spanish Love Songs and The Menzingers are great additions for me.

Surely we are not getting Rancid too. Absolute scenes if we do.

Hundred Reasons just posted that they have new music coming out this week.
Sign 'em up Slamdunk!!

Headliners I would love to see: Rancid, Weezer, Limp Bizkit or Idles
Other names I'm hoping for, some completely unrealistic but hey...
Finch - - Thursday -- Say Anything -- Red City Radio -- The Dity Nil -- Glassjaw -- Cursive -- The Hold Steady -- City & Colour -- Rival Schools -- f**ked Up -- Bright Eyes -- Violent Soho -- Alkaline Trio -- Taking Back Sunday -- A -- Hot Rod Circuit -- Placebo
And just get The Menzingers every year as that is a party!
