sorry i was a bit unclear, of course we can blame him for pissing our money away but he got a lot of shit last time for bigging the announcement up and then producing, what most considered to be, inadequate bands. This time he doesn't seem to be bigging the announcement up at all so if it is shit he can't be blamed for giving us false hope.

Axl was hardly a mild tempered angel back in the days of Slash and Duff though. I mean, it's Axl Rose, after over 20 years of him being in the public eye you know what to expect.

Back in 2002. it was one of GnR's first shows back if I remember correctly and hype was starting to build for the new album (which came 7 years later). I was at Reading and pretty annoyed they weren't there.
I think, since then, people have got a bit tired of Axl's antics. I'm still pleased to see them on this year's lineup. At Download 2006, the first 4-5 songs were amazing until Axl through a tantrum. I'm just hoping they can stretch that out to 2 hours this time.

Also pleased with Phoenix and Band of Horses but will probably end up not watching due to clashes. Just hope there's a bit more for Saturday to come.
Can't complain though, best line up for me in many years. Only problem is none of my mates have weekend tickets - just a couple going on Friday.

This is probably the biggest clash for me too. I'll be watching GnR though.
Band of Horses vs Weezer is also pretty annoying (potentially).

I was hoping I was going to wake up this morning to find it was all a bad dream. Alas, no.

The more I look at it, the more disappointed I am. Shocking announcement. I'd watch Airbourne but they'll clash with STP. Apart from that, there's nothing for me.

Just went on the official forums and saw a thread called 'Tonights bands - leaked". When I clicked on it, it seems to have been locked. You could still see some of them when hovering over it though.
Not saying this is definitely correct, but may well be...

Well Neil sounded pretty sure about Arcade Fire so I guess they will be playing too, below Libertines maybe.
