Guns N Roses - at Download a few years ago. First few songs were great and then Axl had a strop.
QOTSA - can be great, but were dull last time at Reading.
Biffy Clyro - at many festivals over the last 10 years. Always good.
Lostprophets - from small clubs to headlining Download. Good fun these days.
NOFX - always great.
Gogol Bordello - not really my cup of tea.
Billy Talent - Good musically. Don't like the singer.
Arcade Fire - forgettable.
Dizzee Rascal - good festival act.
Gaslight Anthem - great with Springsteen last year. Looking forward to seeing them again this summer.
The Futureheads - not for years. Not my thing.
Pendulum - alright if you're in the mood.
Enter Shikari - no thanks.
Frank Turner - s'alright.
Blink 182 - messy, but good fun.
Paramore - Pretty great.
Weezer - was mildly disappointed last time.
Limp Bizkit -saw them back in the day and twice last summer. As good as ever and great fun.
Thrice - s'alright.
We Are Scientists - Better than I expected last year.
Didn't realise it was that many!

Going to sound like a right old git (which I am) but when only people dad's had mobiles cos they were like bricks and cost like £1.50 a minute to use you agreed an emergency meeting place to all meet at certain times if you lost each other.
-
maybe you might not like them
-
I'm regretting looking these up on spotify.
-
I'm not a massive fan but they were great at Reading last time they played (whenever that was).
-
thats a great shout - especially as tom morello has cited in the past the JA are one of his major influences

Jane's Addiction have just announced 2 tour dates on 9th June & 11 June in Holland and Spain. Please Please Please let them play Download!! Perhaps 4th down mainstage on Friday maybe.......i hope theres room for them!
-
Just noticed that Jane's Addiction are supporting in Holland a couple of days later. That would be pretty sweet.
I'm guessing Gogol Bordello are more likely who seem to be playing most European dates with them.

After years of being sensible and taking 2 old fully charged phones to festivals and never losing one, last year I foolishly took my brand new phone to Sonisphere for the day and BOOM I lose it in the Machine Head pit.
It's very annoying, I promise. Especially when you're on your own, can't find your friends and have no idea how you're going to get home.

Metal Hammer say that T-34 feature, amongst their line-up, Al Murray, The Pub Landlord. Can anyone confirm this?! If true, they could be pretty good/shit, depending on your perspective.
-
A few extras on there now.
-
"There will be additional new bands added on the Download website line-up page at around 5pm tonight...fill your boots!"
-
I'm not the biggest punk fan in the world but would love to see Hot Water Music or Sunny Day Real Estate involved.
-
That was a good year.
The Saturday Carling tent lineup of Nebula, Lostprophets and Backyard Babies was pretty special for me at the time.
-
Especially as its the first day of the festival. People are always keener to get down to the arena on the first day to have a look around.
-
Ok!! additions to the Main stage - A day to Remember, Young Guns, Mystery Jets, The Futureheads, The Walkmen, Thrice, Motion City Soundtrack
-
Being added at midday according to twitter.
-
I was told before Christmas that there would only be 2-3 bands on the main stage from someone very close to the promoters, so am not expecting to see any more added. AC/DC apparently also only agreed to play if it was on the Friday so that they could have the whole of Thursday to set up and soundcheck.
Personally, I don't care as in my mind AC/DC can do pretty much whatever they like.
-
I've just noticed Straight Lines are on there. They're actually ok.
-
Main Stage all the way.
-
Has anyone checked out Rock Sugar?
Words fail me.
-
Slash and Year Long Disaster for me.
Apart from that, one big MEH!
-
Kind of depends on your accommodation arrangements, but you can get a train which takes about 4 hours, so get that on Sunday morning to Reading.
-
Cypress Hill seem likely for DL as their tour dates have a DL shaped hole.....plus they are playing in Germany on Sun 6th June so now presumably cant do the Rage gig in London which they were TBC on eFestivals to be doing.
Now the line-up is more or less complete.....
