  1. Hmm… Kendrick on the Sunday with a special guest sub would be fine for locals on the Sunday. Especially if Diana is there too.
  2. Said this in another thread but I’m wondering if Kendrick will actually be on the Sunday, and because he will play a shorter than usual set (as he typically does) they could squeeze another big act below him. Maybe a bigger than usual sub on the Sunday? Guess that would open it up to someone like Mumford or whatever. Are the Foos busy on the Sunday?

    2022 Headliners

I guess Kendrick being a Sunday headliner wouldn’t be great for the locals - but what if the acts playing below him were? He will probably play a short set so there’s probably space for him to have a larger than usual sub?
  4. Can’t really see her being back. She played at a point where she was briefly quite hip and cool but I don’t think she is anymore. If she plays it won’t be the size she had last time.
  5. Nah I don’t think so because there was also info they were playing on a smaller stage just like the gentleman of the road stuff they did the other year before.

    2022 Headliners

Just had a thought - would Kendrick not allow the BBC to broadcast his headline set? Does he have a bit of a track record for not allowing performances to be recorded? Which day gets the biggest BBC figures, is it the Saturday? If so it might make more sense to keep Macca on the Saturday. Kendrick being on the Sunday with no broadcasting and would probably be the best day for him to play. As Billie / Paul will be headlining on prime TV viewing slots.
  7. Realistic imo. I’m coming round a bit to Royal Blood being there but if it is a repeat of their 2020 plans none of them involved Glastonbury - so I could just see them not being there. Also with QOTSA being drafted in somewhere that Royal Blood would have fit perfectly it doesn’t give me much hope. Unless Royal Blood was the mysterious Taylor Swift sub all along.
  8. It definitely seems to be the destination but I’d think it strange for Foals to return to a sub slot. I think the only serial sub slot booking we’ve had is Nick Cave right? Anyway I don’t think it’s the right place for them now. I think they will be absent from the festival for a while now until they are back headlining JP or something. I also am doubting slightly that HAIM are going to make the jump. Noel’s comments when he said he’d love to be back at Glasto… does he have any dates for 2022 yet? I’m just wondering there is a chance he could drop off or disappear. We assume he wants to be there to support McCartney but if he hasn’t got plans to tour he could vanish.
  9. I think your trio is too indie.
  10. Anyway this is the pyramid sub thread and QOTSA will not be subbing the pyramid so can we go back to who is playing before our three headliners this year. Can everyone say what their gut is telling them right now… go… Green light red light go! (mine is Dave, Lizzo, Noel)
  11. Yeah really bizarre would have predicted it. BST guys must feel over the moon if they’ve managed to bag one of the biggest comebacks of the decade so far… (ahead of stadium shows).
  12. I don’t think glasto has ever booted someone off the lineup due to a personal matter before have they?

    Adele

You know how people used to queue up outside places like HMV (or whatever) to get the new Oasis album? Adele is the closest thing we have to that nowadays. Taylor Swift definitely had that effect too during Red/1989/Reputation in the states (maybe not so much here).

    Adele

Maybe it’s venue availability but I would be surprised if that’s all Adele could secure. I feel like the music industry has been waiting on her to come back since 2019 and the pandemic delayed her album by a year (hence the SNL booking). This won’t have been a last minute thing. Adele is an important person to the music industry. People buy her records. Her albums fly off the shelves of physical stores. People all around the world are clamouring to see her live and will pay anything. I think this is why she gets the exposure she does - she’s like a taste of the old for the industry, how things used to be before the market changed so much. I won’t be surprised if some major venues held a “house seat” for her just in case she decided to hit the road later than usual.
  15. According to @Suprefan she is at BST.

    Adele

    Green light. Red light.

    Adele

If she’s at BST that’s not one I would have called tbh. Quite surprised at that. I feel like quite a few of her fans would like seated tickets. Is that bad to say?

    Adele

Adele at Hyde park would sell out instantly, even if she put three+ dates up.
  19. Lizzo is about as mainstream as it comes now. Everyone is pretty familiar with her and she is known for being a great live act. Reason why i think she’s in the frame is a) her 2019 set went down a storm and b) she is rumoured to be back at some festivals like Bonaroo so I imagine she’s on the summer circuit.
  20. He’s already played hasn’t he and it was a teatime JP slot?
  21. So I’m thinking Dave, Lizzo, Noel Gallagher. Dave under Billie Lizzo under Kendrick Noel under Paul

    Adele

Nah 25 was a more solid album than 21 imo. 25 is a much smoother listen start to finish. 21 has a few tracks that could have been shaved off. 25 felt really nice and edited. No song overstays it’s welcome.
  23. Matt42

    Adele

Insight on the first track - first song written for the album and it’s a divorce anthem. Sounds like the year of divorce albums… first Kacey now Adele. If Adele pulls off a divorce album it’s probably going to be massive.
  24. Think he could just be headlining wireless. He’s been booked to headline it before.
