I don't see why not. That he's not headlined this stuff before doesn't mean he's not a massive act these days. He shifts an absolute shitload of tickets.

But man was referring to there being a headliner that could perceivably be too big for Latitude, because they headline bigger festivals usually. George Ezra is big but doesn’t fit that. In fact last year they had Mumfords and The 1975; Ezra would be The 1975 in this scenario.

  2. Honestly if 21P isn’t a done deal then they could probably shop around for better at this point - the album doesn’t seem to be living up to its predecessor. But at the same time, The 1975 and Foos are big headliners and if there is any festival that’s perfect for 21P then it’s this one so it ain’t so big a deal.

Leave me alone I've got the flu ??

I accidentally wrote 2019 down as the date on a form the other day and I was pretty certain it was because of continued discussion of 2019 festivals so I can’t make fun really.

  4. eFests has added George Ezra, Lana Del Rey and Snow Patrol as rumours.

Would assume all would headline. Lana would be good and Ezra seems inevitable and would sell well - Snow Patrol ruin things somewhat.

Not sure if Blue Dot might be a bit small? Maybe EOTR or Green Man potentially, struggling to think of others.

A wildcard could potentially be a slot at IOW...

Is Bluedot that small? It has headliners bigger than Green Man and EOTR usually get.

Latitude? Could be too soon to return, although alt-J came back after 3 years this year so it's not unprecedented.

Perhaps. Does feel really soon though, felt soon last time even.

They definitely won't be back at Glastonbury next year, but would not say no to another trip over to these isles if they fancy it

Wonder what it’d be. Citadel seems the obvious shout but they did Victoria Park across town last summer. Bluedot?

The weekend thing is a shift in marketing policy. Probably doesn't mean anything major but it at least suggests both are now going to get equal treatment - so same infrastructure and same capacity.

The interesting bit is whether that means they're going to try to spread the interest in BMTH across the second weekend.

Maybe there’s (even) less of a continued theme for both weekends now.

All I'm saying is that it may seem 'convenient' to buy a weekend ticket now but you'll definitely end up paying more than if you wait as some of the days won't sell out and will be cut price. Each to their own...

I realise that but I was saying what the difference between the weekend and the standalone All Points East Presents gigs was. I wasn’t advising anyone to buy a weekend ticket. :P

True. But you could buy the tickets individually which would have come to less than buying the weekend tickets in advance last year if you waited as a lot of them were offered at knock down rates nearer the time.

I don’t think that’s what they were going for.
