  1. So just to clarify because I can't read good; was it Neil (or another eFests person) who mentioned Sabbath announcing something on Thursday? I'll take that. If it is just what someone said, I'd still give the benefit of the doubt, but it wouldn't harm to know the source.

  2. I don't think they'll play R+L ever again. If it's between the two next year, V will bag them. By that time, or shortly after, the backlash from their popularity will be in full swing and everyone will be bored of banjos and they'll disappear like Travis.

  3. A decent chunk of the crowd were there just for Mumford and I've seen Arcade a few times I have never seen this type of crowd at their shows before but it's possible both were getting mainstream so could start attracting new fans. I still prefer to blame Mumford as they annoy me.

  4. I'd question that, they've done sod all since their comeback headline slot so the same set five years later without the comeback buzz wouldn't generate that much excitement. They'd be pitching it to people who didn't see them last time (or at any of the other festivals they headlined) but who are still excited about seeing them, and I don't think there would be enough of those people to make them a particulalrly attractive choice.

  5. Any three from Arctic Monkeys/Pearl Jam/Sabbath/Mumford would be (objectively) a reasonable trio, Blur would instantly upgrade any set while The Prodigy weaken it (but still remain a depressing possibility). Outside of those six I'm struggling for possibilities, RATM, Metallica and Depeche Mode just seem too unlikely.

  6. Editors an NME headliner? If they were to play, I think they could command a bigger, better spot on the Main Stage - they're now able to headline major festivals in Europe (Rock Werchter - not sure if that's how you spellit, forgive Meir I'm wrong). I believe 2nd maybe/3rd definetly on Main would suit them smile.png

I could see them subbing with a band like White Lies under them. It'd be a very depressing couple of hours but hey, I think it would work! tongue.png

  7. I don't really think they should keep acts for March anymore personally, think they'd fare much better if they got the headliners and most subs/ NME headliners out before Christmas. The simultaneous ticket and lineup thing doesn't do it unless they've got something pretty big like 2009 and 2010. They don't do much favours by announcing last with the most tickets to sell.
