I really do need to motivate myself into switching from weight loss to fitness. I mean the improved fitness has been happening too by default but the weight loss really was the priority due to the diabetes diagnosis. Over 4.5 stone now. (29kgs). Got rid of nearly all my old clothes and bought new (well, raided the local charity shops. Nice that that's an option now. The men's selection tends to be not great. The fat bloke selection. Yeesh!) and you know what? I look good! It's so nice being able to wear clothes that fit well and look good on me and aren't just doomed attempts to hide my bulk. I'm a size medium now. Medium! (well, sometimes a large. Depends). I was a snug XXL 4 months ago.
Recently bumped into a couple of friends who I haven't seen since before I started. One almost didn't recognise me.
Well done! Great achievement

It’s not “live” but watching Mick Fleetwood and friends tribute to Peter Green, superb soundtrack to Sunday afternoon

I'm jealous, I can't make such concrete plans yet. If I'm lucky in the resale, I'd be there easily. Imagine this around 6:45 on Friday, sun on your back, cider in hand...
Love them! Also got tickets to see them at Somerset House

Yeah I’m really intrigued to see the map this year
Me too! Really hope they replace Cineramageddon as I’m camping in Sticklinch and not only is it the nearest bar, it would be a great end of night venue for that corner. Alternatively access from their to the park at the top end (rather than through Arcadia) would be welcomed

This may be a bit of a long shot, but years ago there was a burger stall on the other stage field. You had to walk up some polished steps to get to the counter and the sign just said BURGERS, I think it was a black or blue banner. They made your burgers to order and they were honestly the nicest burgers I've ever had. If you were onstage it'd be on the set of shops in NW direction. It was in the same place for a good 3-4 years, the last time I was there I couldn't find it for the life of me. Does anyone have any ideas? Thanks in advance
No idea sorry but we had the best burgers ever in the Park last year

Anyone know if you can pay the balance with Amex? It doesn’t seem to be playing ball!
Nope only Visa or mastercard

Opened The Other one year didn't they. And then incurred the wrath of GFL by saying along the lines of, "We'll be headline material next year and Glastonbury will be begging for us but won't be able to afford us". And then they headlined IOW next year for a million or something iirc? The cocaine had got to Justin at the time and I think he seriously thought he was it.
He has since apologised for his arrogance and stated that he realises it was a massive, massive, possible career trajectory changing faux pas and is full of regret.
Would love to see them back on the farm.
They are just a fucking great live act. They make an effort and just, "get it". That is how you put on a rock show. And they certainly are "fun". Don't take themselves too seriously and often hilarious lyrics. Should be selling out stadiums. Seriously under rated.
I think their songcraft is world class and would argue that they've written more bangers than GnR.
(I may have gone a bit "Stan" there).
Actually quite tempted by the undercard to break my, "Never Hyde Park/BST Again", rule.
Justin Hawkins was great at the Taylor Hawkins tribute gig at Wembley last year, doesn’t take himself seriously, good fun and a great voice

Does anyone remember what it says here https://www.seetickets.com/customerservice/checkorder when you check your order to know payment has/has not gone through? Sorry if I missed further up the thread.
If you go into your see tickets account you can import any orders made whilst not logged in. Otherwise use the “order number” (not your reg) and postcode to check and resend the email to lead booker

In previous years they have stands setup around the campsite or you can pick them up from WaterAid booths. Can’t ever recall them giving them out at the gates.

Make sure you keep the bit of your ticket that says “water bottle” in tiny text

All paid! Don’t they usually dispatch the tickets in the order they are paid?
Hmm I always pay first day and I’d say there is no pattern!

I've updated the bit overwhelming playlist with the latest rumours and self-confirms. I aimed for a mix of most popular and most recent songs. Enjoy!
Thanks, I try and listen to most bands at least once before removing the ones I skip!

Yey or Ney?
Personally I don’t bother as my experience is that insurance hardly ever pays out (to clarify, no experience of SEE but with others)

I think we've all agreed in the last 10 years or so that they did in fact open, and there definitely wasn't an act on before them...
Beady Eye opened the Other in 2013, Hives followed them (with their ladder)

Any packing cube recommendations? Feels like it could reduce hungover tent based admin of a morning....
You can choose between waterproof or with netting so you can see what’s in them. Compression cubes (with double zips) are good to reduce space. The zips go on really cheap ones so false economy. I’ve got various different varieties as my daughter keeps pinching them. I have some like this (but not these)
Deal: Cipway Compression Packing Cubes Set, Ultralight Expandable Travel Packing Organizers for Carry on Luggage (Grey 3pcs) https://amzn.eu/d/cAMyPwd
For real economy you can use large freezer bags!

Was thinking they might just replace Cinemarregedon with camping (athough a little acoustic bar with a camp fire would be lovely) but it’s a long extra walk for the gate A people on coaches etc
