Although I'd love to see Meatloaf I think he's way passed it and his health wouldn't hold up for a full hour set. Highly doubt he's in the running
Billy Joel would be amazing, him and Elton on the same day is a dream line up in itself.

Agree with this, used to hate 1975 but can listen to some of their stuff and it translates live well. Left Ed after 5 songs as he played his only good track Bloodstream. Thought he was dreadful. Hacktivist in Shangri la were much better

Yes they are a download band but they've done it a couple of times in the past few years (not unheard of for download) and Metallica have headlined to great success in the past
The only reason they came to mind is they've popped up on my recommended videos on youtube and I've solely been watching glasto clips the past few days. Maybe google know something

amo takes a few listens to get into, hated it on first take. Saying that their big single Medicine is dreadful and doesn't translate well live at all. The big hitters live are wonderful life and mother tongue (but this isn't a crowd pleaser for the fans of TTS aka when they peaked)
Headlining Slam Dunk would be a great gig and I believe would shift a lot of tickets. The set would need to cut a few from amo and throw in a few oldies to really make a big impact for me

No idea how anyone couldn't be interested in playing the headline slot. You're guaranteed a big crowd and a lot of TV coverage. The only act I've seen go down badly in recent times was ELO (who were absolutely dreadful)

Would be great unless you get a downpour. 4 days of rain before a full day of music would probably lead to a worse atmosphere/drowning
Also volunteers would need to work shifts for about 5 days instead of 3
