Womadelaide 2015


WOMAD returns to the Botanic Park, Adelaide, in South Australia, and is held from Friday 7th to Monday 10th March 2015 as part of the WOMAD series of music festivals. WOMAD events are a showcase of all different sorts of music, arts and dance for 20,000 people per day.

Line-up

Abdullah Ibrahim Quartet, Balkan Beat Box, Bombino, Canzoniere Grecanico Salentino, Charlie Musselwhite, Che Sudaka, Criolo, Fanfare Ciocarlia, Flavia Coelho, Gordie MacKeeman and his Rhythm Boys, Jambinai, Jupiter & Okwess International, Lake Street Dive, Live Live Cinema, Luzmila Carpio, Malawi Mouse Boys, Marrugeku Theatre Company - Cut The Sky, Meeta Pandit, Neneh Cherry with RocketNumberNine+, Public Service Broadcasting, Ramzi Aburedwan, Rufus Wainwright, Soil & Pimp Sessions,The Gloaming, and Youssou N'Dour.

WOMADelaide features a line-up of international artists. The activity will take place across 7 performance stages, plus there will be hands on fun for kids, visual exotica, strolling performers, great wine, food, craft and more.

Tickets

Ticket have sold out. A ticket was priced at AUS$344 for a four day pass, and AUS$311 for a three day pass. Children aged under 12 can attend for free. Concession and YHA member discounted passes are priced at $289 for four days, along Youth passes (for 13-17 year olds) priced at $190.

The festival also has ATM machines, and a global village of merchandise stalls and workshops for adults and children.

Opening hours

Friday - gates open 4:30pm, performances are on from 6pm-1am.
Saturday - gates open at 11am, performances are on from midday-1am.
Sunday - gates open at 11am, performances are on from midday-midnight.
Monday - gates open at 11am, performances are on from midday-midnight.

Accommodation

This is a non-camping event, Adelaide offers a range of accommodation options, and is on international flight routes.
