WOMAD heads to Chile for the first time, and takes place from Friday 13th to Sunday 13th February 2015 at Recoleta, in Santiago.

Line-up

Friday: Novalima, Yusa, Laetitia Zonzambe, Inti Illimani Historico, Brushy One String, Isabell Parra, Tita Parra, Roberto Trenca, Aillapan, and Chad Diabo.

Saturday: Systema Solar, Joe Vasconcellos, Orquesta Tipica Fernandez Fierro, Subhira, Vox Sambou, Juanito Araya & La Tierramarilla, Mahotella Queens,Jorge Martinez, Manka Saya, and Tumo Henua.

Sunday: Sinead O’Connor, Nano Stern, Hoppo, P{ascuala Ilabaca, Chango Spasiuk, Beatriz Pichi, Malen, Arak Pacha, and Joel Maripil & Akun Awkin.

The festival is free to attend, but there is no camping offered on site. To enjoy the music there's a charge from $3.000 to $5.000 per day (around £5).

The festival also has a global village of merchandise stalls and workshops for adults and children.

WOMAD Chile will also feature a range of the on-site activities for which its international counterparts have become renowned, including the Corazón de la Chimba tent, a unique audiovisual experience directed by Martin Erazo of renowned installation art collective “La Patogallina”, and visits to the Cementerio General de Santiago, renowned worldwide for its beauty.

In addition to these unique experiences, WOMAD Chile will offer a range of free workshops for all ages, introducing festivalgoers to dance, arts, crafts and cuisine from both the local region and around the world.
