WOMAD Caceres 2010

WOMAD returns to Cáceres in Extremadura, Spain for the twentieth anniversary from Thursday 6th May to Sunday 9th May 2010.

Line-up

The line-up of international artists includes Amparo Sánchez (Spain), Analog Africa Soundsystem (Germany), Ayahuasca (Extremadura, Spain), Bratsch (France), Charlie Winston (UK), Debarro (Extremadura, Spain), Giulia Y Los Tellarini (Spain), Kenge Kenge Orutu System (Kenya), L'Mentos (Extremadura, Spain), Los Increibles Alfaladores (Extremadura, Spain), Marcelo D2 (Brazil), Nneka (Nigeria), Nortec Collective (Mexico), Raghu Dixit (India), Scath (Extremadura, Spain), Seun Kuti & Egypt 80 (Nigeria), The Skatalites (Jamaica), Speed Caravan (Algeria/France), Spiro (UK), Terakaft (Mali), El Ti Carlos (Spain), and Waldemar Bastos (Angola).

FREE

The festival is free to attend, but there is no camping offered on site.

On site

The festival also has a global village of merchandise stalls and workshops for adults and children.

Venues

The festival will take place around the centre of Cáceres in the Plaza Major, Plaza San Jorge and the Gran Teatro.

Getting there

Caceres offers a range of accommodation options, travel is easy by rail from European rail links. Madrid is the nearest airport around 250 km away.
