Wath Festival 2008


This weekend festival of music and dance includes several concerts at Montgomery Hall which take place both in the afternoon and in the evening. Past years have included other events like ceilidhs and sing-arounds the week before the festival too. This year Montgomery Hall plays host to two Eric Sampson Schools Concerts on Wednesday and Thursday.

Montgomery Hall
Friday evening: John Tams & Barry Coope, Bob Fox, and Ray Hearne, doors open 7pm
Saturday afternoon: Cara Dillon, Roger Davies, and Jon Strong, doors open 12.30pm
Saturday evening: Martyn Joseph, Nancy Kerr & James Fagan, and Ruth & Gary Wells, doors open 7.30pm
Sunday afternoon: Kris Drever, Ruth Notman, and Martin Nesbitt, doors open 12.30pm
Sunday evening: The Gladedale Concert featuring Lau, and The Battlefield Band, doors open 7.30pm

The Sandygate
Saturday afternoon: Nancy Kerr & James Fagan, Jamie Roberts and Katriona Gilmore, Charlie Barker, and Allan & Liam Wilkinson from 12.00 noon
Sunday afternoon: Jon Chapman Trio, Tim Eveleigh, and Liz Ryder from 12.00 noon.
Monday afternoon: Musicians / Singaround everyone welcome from 12.00 noon

a 'Weekend Pass' which includes tickets for all concerts is priced at £60 and there's a 10% discount available for booking a weekend pass before 14th April. Single concert tickets are priced as follows: Friday Evening £15; Saturday Afternoon £11; Saturday Evening £16.50; Sunday Afternoon £11; Sunday Evening £16.50; Saturday - both concerts £25; Sunday - both concerts £25. Public Transport:
Swinton station is under 2 miles from Wath upon Dearne. Sheffield bus station is under ten miles away for coaches.
