Disabled access/gate

Just a quick question for the other 'disabled' Glasto goers on the forum...

My first time at the fest using the disabled facilities so just a quickie about arriving on site and wristbands...

Obv I have my normal ticket but need to go to the access area in disabled parking to pick up my PA's ticket, just wondering if I have to get my wristband from there too. Or can I go in any gate and go and meet my carer at the disabled access area when she is on site?

Naturally it would be best if we were both together at the start of proceedings but im not sure if this is logistically possible at the moment.

thanks in advance

:)

Yes, in case youre wondering and before I get shot down in flames.....I am capable of getting to site without assistance, its around site and at night I need considerable help.

edited to say : am hoping to arrive at the same time and at the same place but we are both reliant on lifts so it could easily go tits up...

Hiya

Thanks for your help.

Have got all the paperwork and am pretty clear on how to go about picking up my carers ticket. Just wondering if I can get my wristband beforehand as we may be arriving at different times and I may have to go up to Disabled parking/access to meet her. Or do I need to get mine from the same place in disabled parking/access??

Wont be camping in Disabled as I think there may well be people who will utilise the facilities more than I would and would hate to take up any unnecessary room......this is my first disabled Glasto so time will tell on that one!

Ok not sure on that, I dont see why not as your ticket is valid, however you will need to have ID with you as I guess there is nothing stopping you giving the paper work to somebody else once inside. (Not that is your intention but it could be the case that is how they will see it thus require both wrist bands to be issued)

Ack, sorry Alf, thought you were going to say something 'orrible along the lines of.....'if you can arrive without your carer then why do you need one' or something along those lines

The disabled camping does sound like its set up really well and caters well for all those who use it.....am camping with some understanding pals and have a spot thats good for me (near path, less guide ropes, near, but not too near loos etc) So, fingers crossed it will all be grand.....but ya never know, you may have a couple of extras round the campfire by Thursday.

Have a great one too guys and thanks for your input :D
