The Willowman Music Festival on a lovely green site in North Yorkshire!! The lineup keeps Growing!! With recent addition of Goldheart Assmbly and also top acts include Toploader, Alabama3,System 7, East Star alstars, Adrian Edmonson and the Sad Shepherds, Chased by Wolves! Pauline Blacks Selector,Here and Now,Subsource, Nick Harper, The Middens, Subgiant, Instrument of Jah Reggae Tent, Hedfone Party including Prognosis Dj's & DJ Dan Fantoni and the legendary Banco De Gaia.

Banco De Gaia....in the beer tent....really? ...one the THE most important dance music artists of the last 20 years....in the beer tent...

This is a lovely festie tho, last years was top, nice spot, nice people, good beer and great music all weekend... :D

Got my tickets sorted and looking forward to this second year of this lovely festival. It was a highlight of last years festivals (Green Man, Solfest, Willowman) with such a laid back attitude, lovely site, great local beers and food, good proper festival type clientele and security that you hardly noticed. Apart from the one who had me sticking my head down a toilet looking for my wallet !! as it happened my wallet was handed in, totally complete and I got a shout on the main stage for it.

Looking forward this year to the Easy Stars, Alabama 3, System 7, Here and Now and Nick Harper but really looking forward to the Hartlepool School of Cool's 3 bands, White Negroes, NEEB and Mercedes and ofcourse the ever pleasant and rewarding H'pool adopted band the Goldheart Assembly.

One month to go !!!

Looks a nice festival with good lineup and seriously thinking about getting tickets for this one, but just wanted to check if it's OK to take own drinks into arena?

I think the drinks licence prevents you taking your own drink into the arena, however camping is just next door so a few drinks can be consumed in your tents between acts etc. That said the prices are very reasonable and there will be some fantastic real ales, served by a professional bar who specialise in real ale. I heard rumours that Walls Northallerton Brewery are producing a Willowman Ale, but I cant confirm this. Will be an excellent festival with fantastic line-up.

Hi,

Sorry no drinks carried into arena due to licensing stipulations. It enables the bar people to ensure there are no under age drinkers and is unavoidable. You can enjoy our well kept real ale bar with Wall's County Town Breweries very own Willow Wobbly brewed especially for the Festival.

We have loads of family stuff this year and a fantastic line especially for the price £70 adult weekend including camping !! Live in vehicles only £10....

The Willowman Festival is rapidly becoming known for it's laid back attitude and friendly staff. The line up is one of the most diverse and yet, musically compelling to satisfy most festival goers.

Alabama 3, Ade Edmondson, System 7 , Easy Star all Stars, Nick Harper, Hartlepool's school of cool featuring White Negroes, NEEB and the outstanding Mercedes..

Just added to the web site line are "The New York All Stars" featuring guitarist Elliott Randall of Steely Dan fame, Mr Reelin' in the Years himself. Elliott played on the first three Steely Dan albums and also was responsible for most of their more famous guitar solos and riffs. Later going on to join The Doobie Brothers as second drummer with his life long friend Jeff Skunk Baxter..

Also joining Elliott will be Dave Keyes, a fine boogie woogie piano player and side kick to Bo Diddley, Chuck Berry and recently with Ronnie Spector. DAve Keyes became the Musical Director for "Smoky Joe's Cafe" and successfully taking it onto Broadway for several years. These two fine New York Musicians will be joined by PAul Smith on drums, Neal Harland on bass and Steve Williams on second guitar... Playing on Saturday afternoon :O

Solstice celebrations at Sentry Circle at the Willowman Festival. Sunday 19th June, last year was a special night as we all sat up and waited for sunrise.

The stones were lit up for the occasion and this year we are hoping to do the same...
