Space blankets

last year I was frozen at night. I've been told space blankets are great to take with you. Is there any shops that you can buy then from as I can't buy stuff off the net

never tried 'em, i just tend to take an actual blanket with me for walking round with over shoulders on top of other clothes, or adding to sleeping bag at bedtime...

had the same shit cheap one at fests for a few years, few hottie burns in it now mind

someone random asked, almost pleaded, to buy it from me at some silly hour of the morning on the last night of glasto last year before we were about to leave...

i had warmth, i was about to leave, why would i want money?!

edit: and it doubles up as a pickernick blanket to take into the arena to sit on (muddiness factor excluded)!

Haha, I spent ages wearing one of those while watching the bands when it got chilly last year. Looked like a jacket potato, people love to stare.

Most half decent camping/army surplus shops sell them for about £3. I always stick one on the floor of my tent and even during the coldest night i have been supprisingly warm!

I "borrow" them from A&E!

Saw them for sale in poundland last year, 2 for £1..........and yes, they do keep you toasty!

Tesco were selling them at first with those disposable ponchos, and then on their own, for £1 each. I bought about 6, I was freezing last year and I used to have some which worked really well.

Keep an eye out over the next few months, they might turn up again in the supermarkets on the cheap again.

Got some from tescos with poncos one pack went through at 24p coz it was last year stock

the fleece ponchos are quite good for keeping warm can usually get them from the cosy camper

I got 4 or 5 of the tesco space blanket / poncho deals too, they were supposed to be £1, I didn't notice if they went through cheaper. But £1 for a space blanket & a poncho is a bargain if you ask me, my last space blanket died a few years ago, I've been missing it! Im glad I have a replacement.
