Fantastic news! They were wasted in that morning slot on the Other stage, will be great to see them in an evening setting.

I;'m hoping for a Woodsies headline slot - and are we thinking full on James or orchestra - I think their last two orchestra performances have already been announced for this year.

A later slot anywhere would be great

Happy to support again. Couldn’t track ours down last year, but we’ve found more than we have failed to find over the years 🙂

which one was yours last year ? They were along both sides of the track between Williams Green heading past carhenge , but of course they can get moved by Traders etc . Did you see a picture of it ?

I did recycling crew for the first time last year after 13 years as a punter, I actually gave my ticket up last year in order to volunteer.  I absolutely loved it - I did post festival shifts.  This year the post festival shifts were 4 days instead of 3 so I went for during festival shifts so will see how I get on with that.

The best thing for me was exploring Monday/Tuesday before all the punters got in and having a quieter campsite to go back to in Toms field to escape the carnage for awhile.

I actually said to Dondo on here when we met Tuesday at the Crew Bars that I preferred it when all the ticket holders were not there.  Ha ha.  I am introvert by nature though 😄

I adore it before the punters get there , the Monday and Tuesday are brilliant, it just feels special, theres time and room to wander and check out whats new , and crew bars add to the fun 🙂

New Frank Carter album is sounding solid after the first listen through!

Dark Rainbow by Frank Carter is an absolutely brilliant new album, been on repeat since Friday and no signs of turning it off yet  .

    1. James with Orchestra - Liverpool Philharmonic
    2. The Hold Steady - Camden Electric Ballroom
    3. Guns n Roses - Glastonbury
    4. The Mission - Manchester Ritz
    5. The Murder Capital - Liverpool Invisible Wind Factory
    6. Public Service Broadcasting - Bearded Theory
    7. The Coral - Birkenhead Future Yard
    8. Red Rum Club - Liverpool Jimmy's
    9. Frank Turner - Buckley Tivoli
    10. The Saw Doctors - Glastonbury

Totally with you on your number one choice. James orchestral (mine at brighton ) utterly outstanding and potentially my gig of a decade for being utterly captivating

Aw man I've only just seen this thread - didn't realise it was the deadline today! Ah well, hopefully someone from here will win tickets! (and hopefully that person is @Avalon_Fields who will then gift me a ticket 😉) But in all seriousness, Good luck to you all x

‘Their first of 2024…’ would explain why they didn’t play this year when seemingly were a shoe in…

Lets hope for plenty more dates in 2024 including a pyramid performance

The difference is that GNR have that aura of legendary status so they'll always headline wherever they play. Having looked, in terms of UK fests she has played 4th down at V Festival, 5th down at TITP, and subbed IOW so even at her peak she never headlined anywhere here. I can imagine her being better suited to a Miley Cyrus/Katy Perry type slot.

    Pink has headlined V - in 2017

I've probably been to over 100 gigs, seen a fair few acts who I'd listen to more/prefer over Pulp, but this was it. The greatest gig I've ever been to and I think it'll be extremely hard to top.

    Absolutely sensational.

I was there tonight. Astonishing good. Could they headline the Pyramid? Hell yes and then some.

I went on Saturday too, what a gig, what an atmosphere, amazing venue, crowd into it 100%, and Jarvis and the band and the staging were off the scale.

Sensational is a good word to describe 🙂

I've been having this thought a lot myself. There a fair amount of friends on this forum who work every year and love it. I'm very tempted.

I think I would still prefer a normal ticket but it would be daft not to explore the working options I think.

Explore it - you know you want to 🙂 . In all honesty its great but only if you value time before the festival to explore and don;t mind missing some of the acts then its superb

  12. Bought a new tent, the old one ripped upon taking it down..... but it had served me well . Sun damage over an extended period etc

Unless I cannot get time off, or something happens I am quietly confident I'll be offered a work place again but don;t want to count any chickens until I see that mail , anything could happen, budgets cut etc

Working the clean up crew and was told to arrive today. Said to go to the cabin at red gate to gain access to the site, and then I believe I’m camping near goose hall. Does anyone know where these places are? I see red gate on the map, is the cabin nearby?

this is my first time going so I’m confused lol

Yes Red gate has cabins right at the entrance with security staff, and is well signposted.

Goose Hall is literally at Williams green  - entrance is through the gate just up muddy lane
