  1. Large swathes of the right have had it in for the BBC for years. The danger is that this may turn many on the centre/left against them too.
  2. Yay. Let's govern by opinion poll.
  3. and my simple question is why are Labour not saying this? They seem to think it is more important to appease the racists of Rotherham & the Bigots of Batley than call out the immorality, illegality & inhumanity of this despicable government.
  4. Do you support the government's proposals?
  5. Maybe Keir can relaunch the famous mug
  6. I have this really crazy idea that the Labour party ought to stand up for what is right & not pander to racists.
  7. How sad that you feel that way.
  8. I have a dream that someday you will day something that is worth replying to... .... he replied
  9. I shall probably resign my membership if she becomes leader. Who I would vote for at elections is a more complex issue - I'll leave that decision until nearer the time.
  10. Talking pish as usual Neil? “I would like to make it very clear that the Caledonian Sleeper staff will transfer to the Scottish government-owned entity, with their terms and conditions protected.” The decision was taken when Serco attempted to renegotiate the agreement through a “rebase clause”, to ensure the loss-making service was on “a more sustainable financial footing”.
  11. Barry Fish has more chance of leading the charge to Indy than Salmond has. People keep telling you this. For some reason you ignore all the evidence & persist with this bizarre fantasy.
  12. So England got what they voted for. 🙂 Wales got what they voted for. 🙂 Norn Ireland got what they voted for. 🙂 Scotland got what England voted for. 😞
  13. Were you not amongst those who were critical of some of the views held by the last labour leader?
  14. Scotland is not more socially conservative than England, as indeed it was not a decade ago. Meanwhile on some issues opinion in Scotland has become more liberal, in tandem with a similar trend in England. Exactly the same proportion in both countries, 69% now agree that it is all right for a couple to live together without getting married. The figure was much the same – 66% in Scotland and 67% in England – a decade ago. In both countries only just over a quarter now say that same-sex relationships are always or mostly wrong (27% in Scotland, 29% in England). In 2000 that proportion – in both cases – was nearly a half (48% in Scotland, 46% in England). https://www.bsa.natcen.ac.uk/latest-report/british-social-attitudes-28/devolution.aspx#
  15. If she had not been on maternity leave which meant she avoided the vote on the GRA stuff, she would have had to either vote for it or resign her government position
  16. No thanks. You made the claim. It's up to you to justify it. I am fairly confident you just plucked it out of your arse.
  17. You will both have links to support your claims I presume?
