  1. Best: Vegetarian Tali from the Curry Bus Worst: Horrible halloumi wrap from some kebab place - was in a bit of a tangle but could still tell it was bad
  2. Yeah, like I say, I know there are logistical, financial and contractual issues. I think they’ve painted themselves into a corner with previous comments. Like others are saying though, if Lizzo isn’t big enough to headline, why have they listed her as a headliner in the poster? It seems they want it both ways, and this is where the main issue is for me. The 3 actual headliners sends off a poor message IMO.
  3. I do get that. I don’t necessarily just mean Lizzo though. Lana Del Rey is a big name for example. (I’m not just hanging my comments off these two artists only by the way) I don’t think it’s a gamble for a festival that sells out in minutes every year to put a “smaller” act on as headliner in a bid to elevate them. For a festival that’s made such a big deal of striving to represent women equally, this feels like a big misstep. Clearly not their intention, but putting on a band like GNR on as headliners in 2023 gives out the wrong message. Obviously say all that with the acknowledgment that they have financial, logistical and contractual hurdles to get over.
  4. True, I'm just not sure how well the "pipeline" comments wash when you have an opportunity to elevate female artists - Glastonbury is part of the pipeline. When they're choosing an act like GNR over a smaller, but current (arguably more exciting) female artist, I think they create their own problems. Oh well, will still be a great weekend!
  5. Don't think it's a bad line up. Much more on this line up I'm excited for than last year's. They've shot themselves in the foot with the headliners though. Would anyone have batted an eyelid if they'd put, say, Lizzo on as a headliner ahead of GNR?
  6. Maybe "warm up" is the wrong term. Why would they come back from Europe to play a Wolverhampton date the week of Glastonbury?
  7. You sure? This screams Glasto to me. A warm up show in Wolverhampton the Thursday of Glasto
  8. Yep, they're touring the UK, going to Europe, then coming back for this Wolverhampton show. Practically confirmed. Cannot wait.
  9. Sparks announcing a new date the week of Glasto. Definitely feels like a warm up show! Siouxie also playing the same venue a day or so either side
