  1. Well that is one English summer. Go prepared for sun and rain and the forecast doesn't matter. A hat is good for both.
  2. I started to going to festivals as a kid with my parents. We took old fashioned flannels, two each. one for our faces and armpits, one for our bottoms! we would dry them over the tent at night
  3. Just be bloody sure they will say yes! Imagine the rest off the festival after a refusal
  4. Docs will do most of the time. Good sturdy boots. Anything but flip flops or plimsols!!! But if the rain persists snd it gets churned up laces can be an issue. I have had to cut them off a few times. Usually i take wellies as i have a pair in the back of the car most times anyway. If you do buy wellies, 1) don't buy Hunters - a complete waste of money - overpriced and badly made 2) buy welly socks and 3) take them home as they will (other than hunters) last for many years.
  5. Any area will get muddy if it rains enough especially the most trod paths. The footfall compacts the soil so the rain cant drain and the feet churn it up. But it is only rain and mud. With reasonable precautions it will neither hurt you nor spoil your weekend
  6. Oh sure. It is only weather as long as you are reasonably prepared. People seem to forget that it is just camping with music, not a fashion parade
  7. There is light rain forecast for the whole weekend and it doesn't take much to turn the main thoroughfares into mud baths. And with the hot-ish weather we have been having we could get a rogue storm. i would take a hat. sun cream and wellies. The wellies are also handy for the toilets. There are some mucky sods out there!
  8. I would always take wellies to a festival. With the ground compacted by so many feet it doesn't take much rain to create a quagmire. And there is a good chance of rain over the weekend. But the main reason is the toilets. I would never venture into them in anything other than wellies! Not all festival goers are decent folk with good toilet habits. I can never understand people going in flip-flops! Oh and I take disposable gloves as well.
