  1. On the Paddington 9:37 to Castle Cary! They put us all in a holding area, checked our tickets then we got sent along to the train platform. I had a super early train (5am) via Taunton that had been cancelled - got as far as explaining that part and they just let me straight through! Train itself isnt too bad - I walked to the second carriage, there's a couple of spare seats and enough space for everyone's bags. No standing either! Suspect that a lot of people are either delayed on their way in or have cancelled. Mood on the train is pretty festive.
  2. I'm heading from Surrey to Castle Cary via a weird route that was supposed to leave at 5am... Well, turns out even the not striking Southern rail will be running a Sunday schedule on Wednesday, so it'll be an exciting time to re-plan that journey entirely come Saturday... Least I'll get a bit more sleep.
  3. Me and my group actually met through Bastille - if they turn out to be playing on the Thursday, that'd make my weekend. They're off on a US tour at the moment, but they would be free for that date... Although I will cautiously add that someone asked the band at a gig ages ago if they'd be playing (before the poster came out) and the band said no... But hopefully they were just trying to avoid leaks - they gave the excuse they couldn't play twice in a row, but considering Years&Years will be doing exactly that... Not very convincing.
  4. These forecasts are absolute rollercoasters - least I can put off the packing for a few more days...
  5. This stage will probably end up being my home from home this weekend - the run of acts from Griff to Phoebe Bridgers is perfect for me, then will be popping back to catch Go_A, Holly Humberstone, Beebadoobee on Sat and Clairo and Charli XCX on Sun - if I don't get distracted by other acts, that is...
  6. Quite excited to see someone else mention Orla Gartland - she's fantastic live and brilliant with crowds so she was an easy pick to go see (Avalon 7:50-8:50). Also planned on seeing Seagirls on the Other Stage earlier that day (12:15-1:00pm) - never seen them live myself but got a few friends who say they're pretty good. Possibly might try and check out Kacey Musgraves and Clairo, depending on where the rest of my group head to.
