  1. you're right, sorry. CTM berlin, a festival focued on avant-garde and club music, has announced the first names. Among them, a solo project from one of the members of Lankum and Anna von Hausswolf premiering a new album. I think both (Lankum full band) could be auditorium big sets
  2. Zero overlap in 2023 with that French festival though
  3. This would be the weaker headliner line up since 2018/2019
  4. Quite disappointed they would have been at least someone different than the national or tame impala
  5. Yep ok but the primavera guys are deep down music nerds just like us I wouldn’t underestimate their roots in edgy/dark music. it could have been argued that also Depeche mode, despite not having ever released bad albums, we’re not exactly at the peak of their hype before the recent album &tour cycle
  6. Tool are no way out of place. And they should be comparable to depeche mode in terms of costs and ticket sales, shouldn't they? I am not even a fanboy but having them at primavera would be just glorious. I can definitely see the appeal for their core audience, the same who will buy the tickets for the smile, massive attack and so on
  7. Please the smile on every fake poster. Just as a reminder that we can’t accept a line up without them
  8. Ad I said in one of my previous posts, I’ve been told by a source I consider reliable that Massive attack will be on tour and that, if they are on tour, they will do primavera. I hope this doesn’t prove wrong
  9. If we rely on rumoured artists + active artists + artists who would be logical to see there we would have: tool the cure bad bunny/travis scott sza massive attack lana del rey pulp pj harvey fka twigs definitely too much imo. Maybe with the big rapper out (travis scott/bad bunny) it could work but I don't know
  10. I think tool would be a pretty good fit tbh and it balances the line up towards heaviness vs sza, bad bunny or someone else pop that is going to be there 100%
  11. Has there been a precedent? I am on this forum since after the 2019 edition and the most unpredictable has been 2023 because of blur, depeche mode, skrillex&friends mainly
  12. What gives me hope is that they possibly discarded some comfort names such as national, smashing pumpkins and so on. That means they already had a vision of who they did want
  13. Foo fighters at roskilde… I really hope we are not really lacking headliners that much
  14. so close to primavera sound core fanbase that even with two other barcelona dates, i would still count them in 😄
  15. Sorry, I don’t get what you mean. We are not talking about how respectful a band is to their fans. We are talking about which type of profile does a band need to be booked by this festival. It surely has to do with the hype press-coverage a band gets (see maneskin, which I a agree were a totally non predictable and disappointing booking, but were not booked to headline). However, these names we are mentioning (Pearl Jam, green ray, placebo) would have never fit in any of the past editions or they would fit but not in current PS as headliners (they would not waste a precious headlining slot for some legacy-assured but with basically zero novelty factor such as smashing pumpkins)
  16. We are not going to have Pearl Jam either
  17. I can see a headliner slot taken by a big pop/mainstream act such as dua lipa but placebo and paramore do not make that much sense to me in a festival that still books unwound death grips and swans
  18. We re not going to have placebo at this festival. They would rather leave the slot empty
  19. Are u finding cheaper prices than last year for accomodations?
  20. Rewire announced opn, autechre, the necks among other names. I would especially expect opn, given last year he was at sonar so there is no competition for him in Barcelona this year
  21. Given they must have a new album ready, they are 100% 4th or 3rd Mordor name of the day
  22. I would rule the xx out given roskilde has announced romy
  23. What do we think of Dua Lipa? not at primavera this time because of glastonbury? I hope they won't book her again. At least in 2022 I could choose the weekend where PS did not waste all their money on her
