  1. I just don't get why they would not have invested on them. People were very happy when they were announced in 2020 to 2022. Classic name, fits perfectly. And I don't think Primavera did not have the money or the reputation to have them. Very curious to know why they are not here. I think I have never regretted this much buying the ticket, despite liking the lineup just enough
  2. or maybe, and this is not more than 1% likely, they are waiting for the day splits because MA need to be announced. I think they got announced later than the rest of the line up also in 2021, maybe? But I reckon it's not likely. Probably sonar has them and MA are just soulless 😞
  3. that's what I ve been told. Shocked right now :(:(:(:(
  4. This last tirzah tour was more club-ready from what they told me
  5. I think Sandwell district will be in plenitude since it goes with big visuals… similar to what overmono was this year. A cult act for technoheads but a friend who saw them debuting at berlin atonal told me it was a bit flat. More cinematic than euphoric as overmono was btw so I doubt they will be closing. Non-Mordor late night sets will be Sofia kourtesis, Barry can’t swim, tra tra trax b3b (they are big now), Peggy gou, tim reaper, romy? Hitech are a personal favourite and I hope mount kimbie will close rayban
  6. Not predicting but rather what I would do if I would need to balance acts in terms of popularity, sales and genres
  7. Mmm besides subjective taste I agree only for mitski basically. Pulp, pj, national, justice to me sound the same crowd size than Caroline polachek, st vincent, skrillex or new order. Sza and Lana obviously have been put in the same league as DM, Kendrick and Rosalia by the organisers. If Fka twigs releases another masterpiece I don’t get why she should not headline.
  8. I would expect: pulp-fka twigs-the national - deftones sza - vampire weekend - mitski - disclosure lana del rey - justice - pj harvey with beth gibbons, clipse, charli and jai paul being the main counter-programming to the headliners
  9. btw every year they get too much backlash for these line ups that, subsequently, in hindsight, reveal themselves to be even too stacked. People were very annoyed last year for a line up with depeche mode, Kendrick Lamar, and all the followings IN SMALL FONT IN THE POSTER Alex g, amenra, Boris, built to spill, emeralds, hud mo, pinkpantheress, comet is coming, alvvays Julia holter, swans, the Delgados l, unwound, Yves tumor, death grips, gilla band, John cale, jpegmafia, kelela, Laurie Anderson, nia archives, overmono And I think I saw more negative comments last year than ever. People just do not get that these small font names are usually worth a festival alone. So maybe if they booked LDR, vampire weekend and sza instead of let’s say, tool, we just deserve it?
  10. Underworld? gutted for the smile. Also, it’s definitely a fresher act than the national. Not worth comparing the two. On a side note, I have already seen the smile in their first tour so I can live without them at the festival. very excited for Fka twigs, if they booked her as an exclusive I think she might have an album at least as big as Magdalene
  11. Interesting, especially when it comes to Fka twigs and justice. However, I don’t see Lana sza the national and pulp to be releasing new albums in the next year
  12. I think complaining about the lack of the smile is legit, they must be doing coachella or something like that
  13. I guess Charli has a new album she s incredibly popular so it’s fine. Disclosure I don’t get why so high, why they are booked. Really I don’t have answers
  14. I can tell you because of the feedback from my group of casual music fans that headliners are definitely not working sales-wise. mayble people more into deftones, Lankum and so on will find it as appealing as last year
  15. Do we know who is playing on the Wednesday?
  16. 10 reasons to get excited: lankum duster htrk sza Fka twigs (she will release a new album I guess) clipse Jai Paul deftones Chelsea Wolfe 5 more: badbadnotgood basinski tirzah (aoty material) beth gibbons Pj
  17. I think lineup is good as always. However this doesn’t change the fact that it’s the worst lineup of the last editions together with 2019. main problem to me are the cheap re bookings that are far from being bonuses, i.e. the national. If the smile are not on this they will problably be touring us at the time. I agree it looks like 2019/2020 in terms of budget. Double primavera problably allowed them far more power
  18. Which are definitely 3 artists who are not relevant in 2024 and the main problem of this line up imo
  19. Boring headliners I think I might skip all of them besides sza. I will watch pulp but I am not so excited. Good, not great undercard. I am sorry for massive attack, I am the first who is disappointed. It came from someone in the industry I am afreind there has been a misunderstanding
  20. Of course I have the worst morning of the week at work
  21. He is as much a rapper as travis Scott is. Big ai-generated trap beats Spotify albums
  22. More and more convinced that the big PS booking will be bad bunny… it’s sold out in a minute, he’s a rapper so you get that covered
  23. Put MA instead of Paramaribo and kylie minogue instrad of Janes addiction. Nelly furtado goes to Wednesday
  24. I don’t think it’s related but bjork and Rosalia have their collaborative single out tomorrow
