Do we have to drag up an argument from 3 months ago? Let’s just leave it and move on.
Agreed - fair enough. It was just a little hard to leave that comment be, given his previous. You’re right, I shouldn’t have risen to it.

Data is definitely looking healthy. Cases still going down 10 days after retail and outdoor hospitality is open.
I had expected increases by this point, I think that's still very likely, but the fact that rates of infection are being driven even lower before that happens is really fantastic news.
If (when?) there's a further wave of infections it's going to have to start from a much lower base which is incredibly good news.
I'm not quite at open the clubs in May, yet, but another few weeks of confounding my expectations and I will be!
What I'd noticed in @bristoliver (twitter maths chap)'s graphs is that - after each stage of reopening/schools going back - the drop in cases seems to level off, then continue dropping again after a few days.

Spot on. Copperface posted about a million times saying there is no way we would meet the mid- feb target. He even scoffed at the idea of a million doses a week. He presented all these 'facts' which proved it. Common sense and basic maths showed we could do way more than that but didn't stop him making his case over and over.
And as you say, total silence ever since on the matter despite being embarrassingly wrong.
I was fine with disagreeing - that's life. It's more the way he would belittle people who had looked at the same data and could see decent numbers happening - referring to them as gullible or suggesting they were stupid.
Just came across pompous and an inability to acknowledge that now and move on suggests a thin skin/lack of maturity.
I'll hold my hands up - not so much on here (I don't think?), but on another forum I shared a lot of Prof Karol Sikora's stuff in the early days. I was 100% wrong on that. He was giving false hope and those saying so were correct.

Can I now call you an internet Karen?
Err sure, if you want?
(Any sort of name-calling from you is a tad rich, given your highly patronising and smug comments regarding the vaccine rollout being proved massively wrong, and a slightly childish refusal to acknowledge this...)

Definitely still feels like 2021 is the year of recovery, and 2022 will be the year of celebration, in terms of the timeline of this disease.

I said it was funny.
Just saying this forum is full of music snobs which it clearly is.
Well it's a music forum. Get all sorts I suppose.

Was quite funny tbf, but most of the people on here are music snobs who w*nk over ranking Radiohead albums and are very out of touch.
Or it was just quite a funny, well put together post?
I have no opinion of Blossoms either way. I clicked like because the post was funny. I would've clicked it even for some bands I think are half decent.

100%
I'm genuinely curious as to the reasoning, for those who aren't that confident (say, below 80%).
If it doesn't happen next year, why would it ever happen again?

Superb trolling, all. The most Q Magazine band of all time.

Reflektor era tour was fantastic. Was lucky enough to watch them from side/backstage at NorthSide festival in Denmark around that time.
I could've nicked the big heads. Tempting. Obviously didn't.

You can wait until you're vaccinated. We're a similar age and it's what we're doing. Not compulsory to get back out as soon as things open, it can feel like everyone is, but as I've said before, the fact that you can actually get in and book spaces in pubs running at 50% capacity or less means lots of people are still at home. It's just a matter of watching yourself to ensure you do actually ease back in once vaccinated!
Yeah I went to the gym yesterday and was genuinely shocked at how empty it was - fully expected bedlam but it was quite quiet. Very nice experience, my 3 year old son was so excited to be back in the swimming pool.

The fantastic Covid centrist @bristoliver’s contempt of them is quite enjoyable.

Really hard to call the winner at the minute - it is very delicately poised, but I do think this could be all over this weekend.
The bigger question is what we are all going to do when it is over - I will miss all the midnight shenanigans and looking first thing in the morning to see who has made a move. Simple game but so much fun - cheers @Hugh Jass
So many variables on the theme could be done. Best album with a nominations thread? Could even be something non-music based, controversial perhaps...
