Having flashbacks to when the website used to update the timings one band at a time.
All at once and with no fuss or buildup please. Oh and by Friday would be nice.Worst thing was when they had a clock company sponsor the fest and you'd have to ask them the (set) time(s) on Twitter 😄😄😄
I just recently remembered that and thought I had dreamt it at first, until I realised it was just that type of comedy only late capitalism can bring you -

Could you buy tickets for more than one gig at the same time?
I just entered my card, I don't have a VIP ticket

Dont do it to yourself, It will be next week. This is how it always was, plus they have a few things to announce before- replacments, Electronic stuff, map and stages
Map was always after timetables if I remember correctly. Replacements could just come with the tt, as well as electronic stage additions

Public Service Announcement
If you are planning to shop for Reservations in Access App on Wednesday, make sure you have a credit card registered in the app beforehand

i think we will have some news today or tomorrow, won't we?
Unless all journalists decide on a spontaneous worldwide strike, I'm pretty sure we will 😁

would like to believe that we will have some kind of announcement related whit the lineup before next Friday, if not, why increase the prices on Saturday? It certainly won't be the schedules but...
They do not increase the prices on saturday, but the current price is valid through Friday 23:59. Same thing in practice, but they did not chose a Saturday to increase prices, but this week as the last one to buy at the current price

I guess the next weeks will look something like this
May 4th Price increase
May 6th VIP Access Ciutat
May 8th Genereal Access Ciutat
May 10th Cancellations and replacements and announcement of Horarios "next week"
May 14th Timetable

Don’t believe the festival has ever gone more than 5 months without even one new name being revealed before.
The lineup announcement feels like an eternity ago.
to be fair, before like 2019 it was rather unusual to have the lineup out this early.
The entirety of the booking process has shifted to much earlier after Covid and when you announced the poster in November for 2017 or so, there had to be a few acts you were still in negotiations with, whilst nowadays, by November you'll only sort out small things in booking terms. -

Can confirm primavera sound and mira festival share booking agents (that’s the reason why this ps edition we have lanark artefax, tirzha and sandwell district that were in Mira 2023
Kim Gordon (and everyone who is in Mira this year) ruled out for 2024 maybe 2025
Would've loved Oneohtrix Point Never and Snow Strippers

If you announce the timetable you also have to announce which acts have cancelled (assuming there are some). Counter intuitive to do this until the ticket prices go up. But yeah I agree with around May 14th hearing something.
But you could also announce replacements that could activate the last people that are in doubt about attending. The price increase is just anothe nod to buy as well, nobody in their right mind will pay that price. But I agree that the timetable will not be available until some time after the price increase.
As @xxialac rightly pointed out, one could just buy tickets for everything interesting in terms of ciutat and then cancel shortly before, but it feels unfair to block space for people who definitely want to attend a specific gig, when I just want to retain the option. Would be much cooler to just be able to see clashes before deciding- 1

Timetables should be out on 14 May, give or take a few days either side.
really don't get why they don't align the timetable with the booking for Ciutat. I have to chose between Acts without knowing if I get to catch them on the main fest.
Additionally, booking Ciutat through Access App means I forfeit my ability to resell my ticket, if something happens on short notice.

I love that the debate between Europeans and Americans about who has the best concert crowds is always shut down so quickly by how hard people go in South America. So much amazing footage out there of people going absolutely ham. That River Plate footage of the ACDC concert still gives me shivers.
I mean, probably often a once in a lifetime chance to see big acts other than in the US or Europe where you typically get several chances to see someone live, even for artists that don't tour much

I understand the sentiment, but thats a bit harsh on Foals.
They have plenty of stuff that caters to the neck bearded hipsters that frequent Primmy.
10 years ago maybe, nowadays no.
Also Foals, whatever you think of them, have gone for an arena-sized sound on their last couple of records, which is not something very sought after at PS. I personally like them, they are fun live and most of their record are good to very good, but they are not PS material

They should put the libertines, the release a new record and there are a few rock bands this year
nah, The Libertines and PS don't fit, as much as I like them. Acts like Libertines, Foals, Kasabian, Franz Ferdinand and so on won't be booked (anymore) they are more of a FIB Benicassim vibe. Its just this specific brand of British Rock that PS avoids nowadays.
PS USP is being the spearhead of European music scene. They won't book someone unless they are rising stars (in their respective scope), absolute legends of their field or have a flawless catalogue (2023 is an exception here bc of the expansion plans). Of course there is always a chance to put yourself back on their radar with a very good record, but you won't see someone like Libertines or - lets say - Noel Gallagher here, who are mostly administering their fame with solid but irrelevant-outside-their-fanbase albums.

Imagine if we get Kylie Minogue or Nelly Furtado (she's playing in London and Dublin on Saturday and Sunday) as a replacement, that would be awesome.
They need to replace Kim Petras with a gay icon.
If they replace her at all, its not a mandatory thing after all, more of a courtesy. Will hardly impact sales at this point anyway.

Could see Kim Gordon replacing her, not a pop act, but I think the regular Primavera audience would like it.
I'd say shes unlikely, her tour starts in Belgium one day later, so she probably flies in from the us then. If its was the middle of a tour, you could probably just fit a date in between or restructure the bus route, but rebooking flights at this point with all things involved like toll and stuff seems like too much of a hassle for a single date.
I absolutely hate to restart this discussion, but Slowdive would still be free 😄

Fka twigs/ pj harvey - Lankum
vampire weekend/beth gibbons
suggest to people there is any knowledge at all about the timetable which there isn't. Apart from the headline and some electronic acts placing an act at any time on any stage is a completely wild guess. This board is read by many more people than just those with accounts.

I don't really undestand the speculative clashfinders, they have never been close to the real one apart from the headliners.

I'm getting more and more hyped as this will likely be my last Primavera for a while, its gotta be a good one!
As everyone had a couple of months with the line up, what acts did you discover that one must not miss?
Primavera Sound 2024

London was to be announced shortly before Covid, right?
Berlin would make sense, there is no festival like PS anywhere in Germany and its but it is near-impossible to find suitable spaces.
