  1. If Sziget is announcing on Tuesday they would surely have started teasing the announcement by now? My money is on this coming Thuraday or the following Tuesday at the absolute latest.
  2. It's rained all afternoon here in the UK so took the opportunity to give a 'proper' listen to some of the lesser known acts from the 1st announcement (well, lesser known to me!). Really enjoying Pip Blom's most recent album, Robbie. Think I dismissed them too early and glad I took the time to given them another go. Still can't get the hype around Wednesday. I should like them but really don't. Not exactly first announcement, rather self-announced recently, but Kiasmos impressing me. Very chill. Dagny has some pop bangers and should be a good way to spend an hour. Joesef has a few decent songs and might be worth a look. Struggling to get into Joker Out, they're popular on socials but I'm not impressed tbh. Same with Azahriah, really can't understand the love for his music, it seems very samey. And finally, Big Thief. Try as I might, I'm struggling to generate enough interest to listen to more than three or four songs without wanting to move onto something else.
  3. Liam's touring with John Squire at the moment, then he's doing his 30th anniversary of Definitely Maybe solo tour. All before Sziget. I suspect we will just get a 'best of' with Oasis songs, solo songs and, at most, a couple of songs from his collab with John Squire.
  4. FWIW, I think we are down to Lana, Dua, Katy or SZA. Outsider: Pink Who we should get as a reward for our patience: Gaga, Beyonce
  5. I don't think the AA+ comment refers to Liam.
  6. Stevie Nicks at Hyde Park in London on 12 July. If only....
  7. I could be very wrong but I think we're more likely to get rock and female headliners.
  8. I think it's viewed differently by different people. In UK, for example, in our academic qualifications, the highest possible mark is A+. Therefore, AA+ is typical hyperbole, but indicates a VERY high level act. Which means we all get excited for The Killers and Red Hot Chili Peppers, despite knowing we're going to get Macklemore and Major Lazer!
  9. On that basis that nobody (other than Taylor, Adele and Coldplay) are ruled out: AC/DC play Germany on August 4, Belgium on August 9 and France on August 13. Green Day - in America during Sziget. Pink plays Stockholm on July 25 and is then in America from 10 August. The Killers play Mad Cool festival on 13 July before opening their Vegas residency on 14 August. RHCP - Okay, not in Europe but tour in USA finishes 30 July with nothing after Noah Kahan - Plays festival in USA on 4 August before starting European tour on 13 August in UK SZA - Dublin 3 July, Canada August 4 and nothing after. Sure there's lots more too!
  10. There's more chance of life being discovered on the moon this afternoon than there is of that happening I'm afraid. She is AAAAA+
  11. Agreed. Absolutely nailed on for 21st March. Possibly....🤣
  12. Are we certain on Skrillex? Is this just from Leaks' post of the alien face or have there been other clues I've missed?
  13. Proof, if needed, that festival line-ups in 2024 have taken a turn for the worse.
  14. A festival line-up almost as bad as Sziget's. That takes some skill 😉
  15. She played Reading and Leeds in 2022 and my daughter and 16 of her friends attended. They all went to watch her play and not one of them stayed until the end. The overwhelming opinion was that her performance was laughable. Plus, apart from 'that' song. I couldn't name you another! Lol. EDIT: Sorry, @rowexxthis was meant to be a reply to your comment, not the one from @Dukkai
  16. I know I'm like a broken record with this one but I really hope they would book Nothing But Thieves again. I know it's two years in a row but they were SO good last year.
  17. If they don't announce by 21 March then they have a real issue. The following week is the run up to Easter, people are travelling, seeing family, have holidays booked etc. Their focus won't be on the festival, the announcement could be missed/ignored by many. EDIT: And the longer the announcement is left, the more people will have chosen an alternative festival to attend if their 'full' announcement is already out there.
  18. It's only a guess but really can't see it being this week for the reason stated. It tends to be a Tuesday or Thursday. Leaks has previously stated we won't have to wait beyond 14 March but, if that was still the case, I'm sure they would have started to promote the announcement by now. So next Tuesday or Thursday. And my money's on Thursday.
  19. Glastonbury line-up being announced this week (Friday seems favourite). Can't imagine Sziget will want to announce around the same time as a comparison is unlikely to be favourable! My guess would be next Thursday 21 March.
  20. I really don't think Fontaines are big enough to sub tbh.
  21. Didn't Azahriah state he would only play if he was a sub too?
  22. Does Kylie have a following in Europe? National treasure in UK but what size venues does she play in mainland Europe?
  23. Your comments make a lot of sense. They also have Azahriah who appears to be absolutely massive in Hungary (but only has 600,000 monthly listeners on Spotify, compared to Raye who has almost 33 million). I doubt very much that the festival will struggle to sell tickets. It might be slightly quieter on certain days but that's always been the case.
