  1. Y NOT are now doing the sign up on facebook thing and you might get something sent to you.

"Y NOT 2024 COMING SOON ⚡️ We’ve been busy cooking up a sweet line up for you guys! If you wanna be the first to know, SIGN UP for the chance to get a tasty surprise in the post 😋"

  2. If they had Beans on Toast subbing the Levellers it would be so much more tempting. As it is, there will be far to many other options this year with plenty of acts that offer more for your money.

Am I right to assume thats Beans and Levellers will be on at the same time?

  3. In no particular order and numbered so I know I have not goneoover 10.

    2. James Orchestral - Royal Albert Hall

    3. Muse - Home Park Plymouth

    4. The Mission - Roundhouse

    5. Queens of the Stone Age - Dreamland Margate

    6. Pulp - Finsbury Park

    7. The National - Ally Pally

    Happy New Year everyone!

I was at the local panto in Pompey yesterday, and they announced on stage that Shaun Williamson (Barry from East Enders) will be at Victorious. No idea in what capacity.

I guess doing his Barrioke Karaoke show. Maybe on one of the smaller stages but maybe opening a bigger stage to get everyone pumped up for the day.

I saw him at Finsbury and as much as he’s one of my favourite artists I’m not sure on his headline status, I was surprised to see him headline victorious over courteeners

Yeah, I thought that was a poor choice for Victorious and quiet dissapointing really. However, for Truck he would be a good sized headliner. Other then Biffy most of the top 2 lines from each day at Victorious must be in with a shout for Truck. It would not surprise me if Jamie T is the one that does the rounds and plays at multiple Superstruct events.

  6. The Darkness for me last night and as you would expect they were great fun. I was looking forward to seeing Bad Nerves who were the advertised support but missed them as stuck in the que to get in. They must have come on super early and played to a handful of people as most people will have been in the que outside.

Bad nerves must have been moved forward to accomadate the surprise support Ed Sheeran. Aparently he is a huge fan and had always wanted to open for them when he started out. I did see The Darkness support Ed years ago. So we got a half an hour of Ed bangers and he also came out during the Darkness to play Love is only a Feeling and done the rockstar jump from the drum kit stage.

A quality night of entertainment complete with the F***** Christmas Song (Anyone who saw them support GNR at BST will know about the F******  Christmas Song) and a cover of Radioheads Street Spirit.

After all these years The Darkness still put on a cracking show.

That's the same weekend as their own festival, Krankenhaus?

I wonder if Sea Power were included in the article by accident?

Fatboy Slim’s appearance at the festival had previously been teased with a sign that had appeared on the Southsea seafront, which read ‘Praise You’ in reference to his hit of the same name.

They will be joined by acts including Wet Leg, Becky Hill, Pixies, Courteeners, IDLES, Jess Glynne, Arlo Parks, Louis Tomlinson and Natasha Bedingfield.

Also set to perform are Soft Play, the Lightning Seeds, Maximo Park, The Snuts, Yard Act, The Lottery Winners, The Pigeon Detectives, Holly Humberstone, The Amazons, The Lathums, Red Rum Club, Brooke Combe, Personal Trainer, Sea Power, Peace, The Murder Capital, Do Nothing and more.

  8. I think its a cracking lineup and likely to go down very well with the people who go to Victorious. I am already worried about the amount of clashes. I guess, I am slightly different to most on efestivals in that I want to see names that I often see. I dont go to festivals to see new acts but its always nice if you find the odd one. Lots of names on the poster that I go to see their own headline gigs, Biffy, Snow Patrol, Pixies, Wet Leg, IDLES.

So much good stuff on the poster Courteeners, Snuts, Murder Capital, Maximo Park, Lotetry Winners, CMAT, Lathums, Holly, Echobelly, Crystal Tides, Amzons Pigeon Detectives. Seen them all a number of times but means its stacked for me.

It will be interesting to see how many of these make it on to other Superstruct events, obviously not Biffy but many of the others could do Truck, Y Not etc.

Hoping Peace dont clash with anyone else I like as I have never seen them before but get the feeling they are the sort of act Superstruct will have block booked, so likely to catch them somewhere.

Never seen Jamie T before but as he is likely to clash with the Pixies or Courteeners not likely to catch him here.

Did we go to the same show

They'd absolutely smash it, their ally pally show was excellent.

Perfect act for boardies - dancey but still popular with older people

likewise, saw them in Brighton and ally pally on this tour  completely smashed it and well worthy of headline slots

Yeah, great at Ally Pally and even got me to unfold my arms and shuffle my feet a little and that takes an awful lot 🙂

Last 3 Fridays have been Madness, Stereophonics and Jamiraqoui.  Yeah… its going to be Fatboy isn’t it

Yeah. To be fair I think I would be happy enough to See Fat Boy Slim. I have not seen him since my clubbing days back in the 90s and early 00's. I just hope they don't do anything stupid like put Courteeners on the same time on the Castle and cause me to have to make a hard call. To be honest, no idea what he even plays these days.

Fat Boy against someone I don't care about is fine but can't take another Mumford v Marr call to make.
