  1. When I see the Pearl Jam pricing it lessens the blow with the Green Day clash as I already have tickets for that and they now seem like a bargain. Even if they announce another date will struggle to find anyone else to go with at them prices.

  2. Beats & Swing Headliners confirmed.

Fri - DUB FX (Beats & Swing Headliner)

Sat- GROOVE ARMADA (DJ SET) (Beats & Swing Headliner)

Sun - PROFESSOR GREEN (Beats & Swing Headliner)

Oh dear, just saw a large version of the poster and noticed that all the above names had the fact they were the headliners next to them. It does not show so well a small phone version 😃

I think it's a great clashfinder! I really hope there is one more big name, I feel like that Saturday needs a bit more oomph! I'd like The Vaccines, but they're probably too big to main support Wet Leg

No luck with The Vaccines as they played last year.

  4. When I saw the lineup poster I just assumed that Hooky & Dexy's must be main stage subs. Think its wierd they are listed as GardenStage. Unless, I am confused thats a small tent. I am sure I saw a couple of people in it last year, Tibetan Monks and some band called Wings of Desire or something like that. I did not really bother with it as it seemed to be people I did not know and doubted would interest me. It seemed to be comedians and small groups.

So unless its now a big stage it would be madness to put Peter Hook & The Light in a small tent even directly against Texas. I have to admit, I will be well narked if its not a mistake and they do clash. Being able to see Texas and Hooky was the big incent to but tickets.

Expecting/Hoping this changes and he gets announced for main stage or Garden is now a big stage and still does not clash with the main stage otherwise I will feel well mugged-off after buying on the look of the poster.

  5. Very strong undercard and a million times better then Truck for me. It would be hard to work out who I would see and who I would need to skip. The important thing is there are some names here that my girlfriend likes such as Beans, Dead Pony, Pale Waves, Ten Tonnes, there were no names she likes further down at Truck.

The only blemish is Jamie T and even ignoring him I really like 3 of the 4 headliners. I am so happy with this lineup, its just a  shame its not Truck as that is much nearer. I think YNot have done very well.

at y not last year pigeon detectives got moved up from a headline spot on the 3rd stage to afternoon MainStage spot “due to popularity” and the lead singer went on a rant about how they were too big to be playing 3rd stage (admittedly he did seem to be drunk). Either way I’d be surprised after that if they accepted the same thing at a smaller festival

To be fair to them, that tent was tiny. I went to see Dead Pony in there (who were good) and did think it would be awful with a more well known group as the capacity was very small.

  7. Not sure about this really. There are only a few acts that I have paid to see their own shows in the past. i.e Wet Leg, IDLES, Black Honey, The Kooks & Holly Humberside. I tend to judge a line up about whether I would actually go to the expense and effort to go see their own gigs.

There are a few I have seen at Festivals or supporting someone else like Coach Party, Sundara Karma, Pigeon Detectives, The Snuts.  However, I did not like them enough to make me go out and get tickets for their own shows

It seems a lot of effort, annual leave and money to go to this. I already have tickets for IDLES & Holly shows this year and am certainly going to Victorious and expect to see them their as well.

It's well below the last few years level, well for my tastes anyway. I am sure there is good stuff among the names I don't know but they will be doing the rounds and will see them somewhere.

And I know there’s Pixies fans here but they’re 3rd down on an APE day, no chance they could have headlined this.

Yeah, their position at APE is mind boggling and i am surprised they took it. Did wonder if it was a bit of a way to undermine your rivals. I thought they were a great get for Victorious but when playing 3rd down at APE the same day it rather devalues any kudos in booking them.

Would it have looked better if Pixies and Jamie T swapped stages? Don’t forget you also have Courteeners who are certainly headline level for the more Northern festivals.

I would saw yes. In my mind they are much better bookings and at the moment appear to bemore select bookings. That could all change once lots more festivals announce their lineups.

Superstruct are certainly trying to build Victorious up as a sort of UK flagship brand for them and so it does look weak if their mainstage headliner is the same as all their smaller festivals. Only my view and anyway I will be watching Pixies. It just seems odd to me to have Jamie T everwhere rather then what Superstruct usually do and have them at the same festivals but over a few years.

  10. Its fairly poor that Y Not get Noel and we do not. I think he is suggested almost every year as a shoe in. I thought he would be a perfect headliner for Victorious and maybe a name they smallerSuperstruct event might not have.

It's made worse that one of our headliners is Jamie T who is headlining lots of smaller festivals, He now looks a very poor choice for Victorious. It would have looked better if he was not everywhere else. A real lazy booking, not so bad if he was  Castle.
