O-Rod's too safe of a bet if anything

In 2024 they should go with Maisie Peters, CMAT and D-Block Europe to headline.

    Plenty of risk.

That's not risk, that's just ridiculous. Maisie Peters? She's little more than a Taylor Swift tribute act.

  3. Just be nice to the stewards when you get there and they'll give you what you need. They guide you to your pitch and make sure you've got space on the correct side, but remember they're mainly kids and they're not there to police you, they can be persuaded to give you a little more room if you need it

This is the second time this week you've flagged this up, so I'll respond, however I think my austere forum presence over the years means there's only a very small group of my nemeses who'd be at all interested - I've never been a forum 'character.'  My 'Toxic Avenger' sock-puppet account got blown by Neil years ago on its very first outing as I didn't bother trying to hide IP addresses or block/delete cookies etc.  He called me out publicly but, unusually, didn't delete either of my accounts, which was a reflection on Stu - the bloke I'd set it up to annoy.  This did also leave the 'Toxic Avenger' available to later annoy a certain 'km9' after he swooped in with a 'downvote the lefty' move, without actually commenting on whatever political handbag battle was being waged.  But in the spirit of apologising for old forum crimes: sorry.  Prior to the forum removing user rep 'badge of shame' from users' posts, downvoting could be a reliable source of fun: without fail, the users who gave out downvotes would also be the ones who'd be nailing themselves to crosses if someone dared give them one.  Halcyon days.

Bloody hell you've got some memory 😁

    Hope you're well 👍🏻

One of the unintended consequences of your permanent 'sat in front of efests instead of living a life' status is that you're capable of doing a complete one-eighty on an issue without actually realising you've done it.  A couple of years ago, you were auditioning to be be Neil's goon by accusing lifelong socialists of being anti-Semites, whilst sneering at anyone who questioned this ludicrous tabloid narrative.  Now that Neil's not worth sucking  up to, and the Labour anti-Semitism witch-hunt has quietly fizzled out, you've suddenly become a new man.  It's heartening to learn that you were actually dubious about the ridiculous anti-Semitism scandal all along.  However, you might want to check whether Neil still has the necessary forum access privileges to edit/delete your contributions on this topic from a couple of years ago...

Are you mark e Spliff or the toxic avenger today?

Not to continue the conversation but I find it ironic that it is the S*n that has spilled the beans given they posted pics of Sam Fox when she was 16. It was illegal at the time to distribute indecent pictures of an under 18 but no one batted an eyelid.

For interest there is no legal definition for indecent. It is up to judge and jury to decide.

Many thanks to those updating the Clashfinder, it's really helpful. Will it eventually be updated for the Comedy Tent etc as well (I'm not so good with the tech myself!) ?

Updated, although there seem to be a few mistakes on the app with a few 5 minute sets thrown in at odd times which I've left out, so if it's comedy you're after I'd maybe have a better look on the day.

    Yes I can do that

What's the best late night entertainment at Latitude (looking at the Friday)? Is Club de Fromage fun?

Yes it's fun, although after an hour you might want to find some more fun

    Good work chapple.

I really want to catch 3D but they always seem to be on Sunday and we leave after the headliner to be back for Monday.

Yes I've noticed this too. They must always be busy the Friday and Saturday of latitude.

My frustrations are more like "mild irritations" rather than being frustrated, but there are a couple:

    1) Arcadia crew area/camping/Tow and Hitch now taking up the entirety of that field, which seems like a significant encroachment of space while there hasn't been any new innovation since Pangea (appreciate that was a large sunk expense for them)

    2) General overall crowdedness everywhere I went - I don't know if it's through overselling or fence jumpers or what, but I queued more than ever for everywhere this year - even at HMS Sweet Charity of all places I was almost caught in a crush queueing to get in. I know a lot of people had complaints about 2022 but that wasn't my experience - I even made it into the Temple twice without queueing at all, so not sure if it's just a reversal of fortune but in reality I don't think they quite did as well in spreading the crowd out as they have done in previous years. I think they also need to find a way to extend to Silver Hayes license to 4am - at 3am (or even 2.30 on Sunday), people will still trek to the SE corner for another 2 hours of dancing, but if it finishes at 4 it's a bit of a mission that might only gain you an extra hour.

    3) Lizzo/Maneskin and GNR/Leftfield clashes. I know clashes are part and parcel of Glasto, but that doesn't stop me getting frustrated at them!

    4) Getting stomach ache at around 6pm on Friday and Saturday. Nothing kills my mood faster!

In any case, was still a fantastic time, can't really complain!

Not a criticism of your post at all, but it's interesting that people (lots of them) complain about both overcrowding AND clashes. Imagine what would happen if there were no clashes to split the crowd?

First timer  here  ,  are the disco sheds   silent disco ish in nature ?

No, as odd as it sounds it's a garden shed which acts as a DJ booth, and people just gather outside it. I think I saw Tim Key DJ there a few years ago.
